Looking for kids

Somaria and Daed didn't even approach me until I had been playing for probably 2 RL weeks, and they were pretty awesome parents. I'd like to think I was a pretty solid child in return. Not everyone who lurks outside of instant portal time is a loser.

It SO is that easy.

And it may look that way but I know that most people do take the chance to at least feel out kids first.

Maybe where you live, but people are crazy in Celest!
Knorrith2009-02-17 23:15:12
All places are crazy. That's how the world works. There are some though that may not be as crazy or crazy in a good way but they tend to hide. Like in libraries for example.
Now, who hides in the library fairly often because the city is just too noisy/crazy? suspicious.gif

If only it were that easy. People put there names on kids just as soon as they get out of the portals anymore.

Wow, imagine how people not in families must feel then; "almost everyone gets adopted right away (except for you)"

To be sort-of on topic, Gartinua is not looking for kids, he's still a bachelor!

I think it's just a recent trend in the Aquamancers. To be fair there are a lot of good kids coming through the portals right now.

Still looking for kids to spoil...you all know you want to be spoiled!

I am the librarian in Celest, and the only one who hides in the library is me! More people should hide there, but you have to be wary of the blood thirsty books. Maybe I've said too much now...

I'm curious as to the 'no dracnari' thing on both of them.

We're too drunk?
Nyir2009-02-20 22:17:28
If you'd like an abusive mother and a neglectful (read: mostly inactive) father, Nyir and Baurai are the parents for you! Despite her family name, Nyir harbors little love for Magnagorans, so unless you've got a good story for it, Magnagoran kids are out of the question since her children would probably be considered adopted at some point rather than of her flesh and blood. (Faeling on Illithoid? No thanks.)

Due to her family, probably no elfen, no kephera, and no merian. Faeling would be preferred, but other races could work out too.

And well, yeah. You'd probably want to interact with me IC before committing to wanting Nyir as a parent. tongue.gif

Tau and Janalon y'Kaliath of Glomdoring are to adopt!

We are both female illithoid whom are active in the Nekotai. Despite our own personal commonalities, we have no set requirements for race, gender, guild, organizationm etc (must be younger than 18).

Rather, we are looking for someone who is active, outgoing, and RP driven to join the y'Kaliath family/clan. See the y'Kaliath RP Thread:

I know Isinar and Kuailong and Thea, but I don't know Thea's soon-to-be husband, and I think Lawliet's looking at others too.
Lawliet2009-03-02 19:25:29
I don't really know Keff, either, but he promised grand-kids

And I am NOT looking for more kids just yet!...

Well, maybe just a little...

That's why Kayte loves you. smile.gif Sorry I haven't been around today, but the place I'm at the computer doesn't work with the Nexus. scream.gif
Dakkhan2009-03-09 16:08:40
Dakkhan is looking for his parents or siblings. Organization doesn't matter -that- much, although Magnagora/Glomdoring is greatly preferred - if you want a very tense RP relationship, then be Celest or Cerenwilde.

Dakkhan is a Dwarf in the Ur'Guard at Magnagora. He's 19 years old. I'm looking for a house that has lots of RP potential, as I take pride in my RP.

CONS:
Drinks too much.
Generally unkempt. (except for his beard)
Usually spattered with blood and/or ectoplasm.

PROS:
Always chipper with a good sense of humor.
Honorable and loyal, wants to become a Defender.
Randomly makes up and sings songs while intoxicated.

Keep in mind that Dakkhan is not a static character - he can and will change over time. Active families that encourage character development are what I'm looking for above all else!

It amuses me greatly that this thread is in the 'Trading Post' but I wouldn't mind finding a family for Entheo, he's a seren.
Somaria2009-03-11 01:36:55
Somaria and Daedalion are ALWAYS on the look out for prospective children.

The y'Kaliath family is well-known for it's in depth rp, and we hold up to the reputation on a daily basis. The family itself has three manses in total. Tau's aethership, Mihewi's bakery and cottage, and Somaria and Daedalion's estate. The main family manse (complete with filled bookshelf and dweller) plays an incredible part in our family's history that is certain to interest you. We're currently still writing out the entire history, but it should be finished soon.

We own an OOC clan, which we use frequently. We wont be offended if you turn it off, however.

The pros and cons are simple, though many.

Pros:
  • You'll be an y'Kaliath, and spawn of Somaria, which in itself is pretty extreme. Known for her traitorous ways, her ONLY loyalty is to the name of her family, though she's been going through many changes as of late.
  • Like I said, RP driven family.
  • A few of us are Combatants, and both Somaria and Daedalion can help you develope crucial skills to be useful on the battlefield (as well as with your systems. I have all major clients.).
  • You'll have instant allies who will always stand by you and come to your aide.
  • Large manses to explore.
  • Many family secrets to uncover.
  • RP RP RP RP
Cons:
  • You'll be an y'Kaliath. Spawn of Somaria. People hate her, and thus you will be discriminated against.
  • You'll be an y'Kaliath. Everything you do will be watched and judged, not just by outsiders, but by the founders of the name, Somaria and Daedalion (Your potential parents).
  • There are beatings if you harm the name.
  • OOCly, we're critical of your RP. Do it right, or at least try to improve, or don't do it at all.
  • Complete loyalty to the FAMILY is a requirement. Whether you grow into it or not doesn't matter. If you betray the name, you'll regret it.
  • The OOC channel is a little noisy.

We aren't here to put in an application for kids. We're here to say that we're ACCEPTING hopefuls. If you have the drive to be an y'Kaliath, let me know in game by way of Message, or here with a PM.

We accept people from anywhere, Mag, Seren, Celest. Gloms will be reviewed more critically, and we have a heavy preference for Celestians and Serenwilders for now (Since we are focused on those two orgs). While we realize that Celestians and Serenwilders tend to be more happy-go-lucky, extreme snugglers and delirious imbeciles will be turned away.

No shirt, no shoes? No service. Be clothed appropriately when meeting Somaria and Daedalion for the first time, if you plan to attempt a completely IC introduction to the idea of your character being Somaria's son or daughter. By appropriately, I mean dress in a way that your character would. Even if your character is some beggar on the streets of Mag.

Be ready to be questioned on your IC goals by the pair. Don't know what you want out of Lusternia? That's fine, but don't sit there and drool out a boring, "I just want to be the best this or that" or "I want to be useful". How? What have you already done to move towards that goal? We're here to help our family if they need it, but if you can't do anything for yourself, the y'Kaliath will eat you alive before spitting you back out at whatever nexus you call home.

Like I said. Message me here or in game, or send a tell. I wont bite OOCly.
