From what I hear, Minorities in Europe have it worse off than minorities in the U.S when it comes to feeling like they arn't part of the system.
Actual police brutality has little to do with it, as much as the perception of unfair treatment.

That isn't the case in Britain. I don't know about the rest of Europe.

I love how these people who actually know nothing about how things work here just make these snide comments based on hearsay.

To be fair, I also see Europeans do it all the time to America when I chat with them on the net. If some of the Europeans I have chatted with accurately portrayed the typical day in America, I'd be a TV-brainwashed drone engaging in gun shootouts on the streets whenever I go shop for groceries. That is totally wrong. I do not watch any TV (seriously!). And the shootouts are only holidays! Though yeah, I'm sure many American impressions of Europe are equally inaccurate, heh. (But the gun imagery always makes me laugh. I don't own a gun yet, but no, I definitely will *not* be a gunslinging cowboy when I do nor expect to be having gunfights in my lifetime! Heh heh.)

I was just going off of what I heard on the BBC when they were interviewing the Pakastani, saying that in america, immagrants have an easier time assimilating.

Sadly, there's a lot of racism in Europe. We manage to be racists against people of the same "race" than ourselves, but from a different european country.
Regarding the man who was shoot, we won't probably be able to get the real facts because there will be a load of different stories. But even if I find morally bad to kill a man in cold blood, I admit that in Barcelona since the Madrid terrorist attacks, we all look at the packs in the Subway in a different way. People move away from abandoned packs. Or big packs. Or people who might look weird. I am pretty sure someday there will be a big accident when somebody decides to raise the alarm and point to a "supposed terrorist". It's called nerves, panic, even paranoia. Even I go into the subway with a different mood now. And the attacks weren't even in Barcelona, but in Madrid when the political centers are.
What would be saying if the police had not stoped the man and there had been an explosion killing everybody around? The victims families sueing the policemen for not shooting?
What I do hope is that there's a heavy investigation to clear if that death could have been avoided, and who's the responsable, but I understand perfectly how that could happen without making the London Police into a bunch of mindless psicopaths.
