Hence why I was so very annoyed when teaching novices knighthood got me to legtendon.

how about make demesne effects tick on the same timer and take away passive force move effects but then give active skills as a compensation. Then they wouldnt be as bad versus teams and movement.

As I have stated earlier, the damage absorption of mages/druids would have to be reconsidered too. People want to be able to attack mages/druids with ease, but they also must then be willing to allow an increase in their resistance to damage and wounds. So, active abilities would have to be given to compensate (examples: increased wound healing abilities, hindering abilities, and deadlier affliction abilities).

Puer would be nice. I can barely afford to apply health against low damage rapiers, let alone anything stronger. Especially since medicinebag takes health balance, so I can't even use that to compensate.

My personal opinion, the skillset either needs to be changed none (to very little) or just scrap it altogether. Reason being is, as Geb has pointed out, Mage's can't absorb much damage at all. In an FFA, some random knight hit me with a single haymaker and I was gone...

If you tweak the skillset very much at all, you are simply going to offer up mages as a feast to the rest of the realm. I would honestly prefer the changes made to Influencing, rather than beginning to tweak a skillset like this. If it is a big problem...take out the skillset and give us something else. I only see this being the end of the Mage class as a mass exodus will occur when demesnes are no longer useful or just result in the mage dying in 3 seconds.

If you are talking about simply tweaking a skill SLIGHTLY...fine...but its beginning to sound like people want numerous things changed. Perhaps you can offer those of us who don't use demesnes an alternate skillset anyhow. I'd gladly give it up for something useful that I can use outside of village influencing or large combat situations... Something similar to specialization, but you can choose to be more effective in groups (demesnes) or individual (new skillset). You won't have a mass of demesnes floating around then and you'll make me happy (*flutter*)
