I'd just like to suggest that if a chat room named Lusternia is given any official connection to Lusternia, that they don't have moderators who encouarge racism and highschool tactics of saying who is allowed to have a valid opinion and who is not.

Um.. much more than dumb people was said. I was afk a lot of the time but when I scrolled up and saw the stuff you guys were talking about I was shocked. Completely and utterly shocked. I am done with MIRC. I deal with that every day and at home. I come there to have fun not fight any battles.

So now I found out what this is about. Kind of funny, really.

Daganev whined for hours about nothing, mostly that people dared to disagree with him or make fun of him, essentially insisting the moderators do nothing to anyone ever.

I got so sick of the constant spewing of crap and heaping of abuse and insults for thankless work, that I just left and stayed out for hours, except for a few minutes to check on a nick. During that time, apparently, in my absence, people spent the whole time telling offensive, disgusting racist jokes which would have earned an instant kick in my presence. When the cat's away...

Now Daganev is whining about the lack of moderation which was directly caused by him whining about the presence of moderation.

I think that channel is a complete loss, really. The two ends of "zomg censorship!" and "zomg he said a bad thing!" have not only met in the middle but now overlap. We've formed a few new channels whose primary virtue is not having Daganev in them.

I personally like the channel. It's fun at times. All people need is a little common sense and maturity.

People need to learn racists jokes, in rl are NEVER funny.

No vague jeweish jokes about ovens aren't funny.

The subject is just not funny.

Its not about censorship, its about not being a dumbass.

And let me add, if you're offended by something, say so in private or public to the ops. We're constantly getting chewed out and cursed at both for doing our jobs and for not doing them, so we really need you to tell us when someone else has gone too far -- partially because we may not even be listening as closely as you are all the time, as there's only three of us and the channel's open 24 hours a day.

A point I would like to make real quick.

When the jokes about the holocaust began, SOMEONE MADE A COMPLAINT. I stopped it, and the person who started it APOLOGIZED.

The other jokes? Where was even ONE complaint? IF everyone is laughing/participating that I see, how can I know it's offending you? For sake, SPEAK UP if you don't like it.

Keep in mind, as moderators, Gwylifar, Laysus, and I all get on constantly for enforcing any rule that someone doesn't like having to obey....so we don't randomly enforce things no one complains about. Make a point of complaining and it will be enforced.

Make up your mind...do you want the Moderators to do their job? Or do you want us to leave you the hell alone? You can't have it both ways.

Creation of my own channel --- Hmm....let's see...Brylle's got a cooking channel, do we need to boot her from it because it's cliquish? There's a politics channel for those who just gotta have their bitchfit about politics which annoys the hell out of alot of people, oh no, gotta stop that. There's a channel for those who want to discuss sexual things without upsetting others, or having said discussions with underage people. ZOMG, that's so wrong.

Its perfectly fine... except when your a moderator.
