All in a clump. So you know, ALL four favours were for the /same/ person. And not the person that Taika was talking about.

Argh. I know you people need influencers but that is just stupid. Favours should be earned not given. Seems like it's undermining the favour system anyways.

I thought it was common knowledge that Glomdoring had a nice little rota set up to cityfavor the same clique of people over and over.

It's not a simple rotation, although the barest of effort in a village will earn you a spot on there. Favors for other reasons aren't given out any more often than in Celest.

on Magnagora's cityfavour project, we have a list of those to be cityfavoured for whatever, and then a list of those to be cityfavoured to CR4 for influencing.

Read Guido's post, skipped thread.
I agree in this case. I've helped a number of times, advance someone just so they could influence. Then they get to be CR6, and throw thier weight around, or have better commune privs, just so that they could influence. Tie it into your skillrank in influence, or make it a seperate system.

Why not just make everyone who's not a novice in a commune able to influence as well as any other?
Or if you must, make it based on karma. Or on the amount of power you've brought in during the last few weaves, or something.
If it's linked to anything in player control there'll be every reason to use it tactically only so it might as well only be tactical.

Raising someone's rank should not let them argue more/better.
I'm I make supervisor at my job, it doesn't make my insurance skills get better, it just means I have a higher position.

Yet you'll take it differently, I think, if it's some random French guy in your house arguing with you, or the President of France doing it himself.
Unknown2005-08-02 19:24:32
The Councilers and City Leader can have influencing bonuses, that's fine. But if the 3rd French Ambassador to Niger was arguing in my house I wouldn't be any more impressed than Random Frenchman.

Influencing ability = guild rank. Heheheh.
