Overview
The game is Soulless against Elders. Soulless work to kill off Elders and diminish their numbers, Elders work to kill the Soulless. A few special roles will be explained later, but Elders win if all Soulless (not including Luciphage) are killed. Soulless win if Elders are equal to or less than their numbers (not including Luciphage).
During the day, everyone votes against whoever they think is Soulless.
During the night, only those with night roles need to PM me their choices. Everyone else is asleep.
Days will last 48 hours, or until all votes are in after a minimum of 24 hours.
Nights will last 24 hours, or until all votes are in after a minimum of 12 hours.
If you fail to vote when you should, it will be too late. Those with night roles who are slow to vote, I will attempt to track you down and remind you ... hopefully I won't have to.
Any questions, ask!
Roles
Elders : Caught on the defensive, the Elders are being slowly killed off and hope to eliminate the Soulless threat before it's too late. The only thing an Elder is able to do is voice suspicions against others and vote against someone during the day.
Elohora : Acting as both a Seer and a Guardian, the Elohora may both scry and protect someone at night. They may protect themselves up to two times, but doing so will require all their energy and leave them unable to scry for that night. In scrying, Elohora will see Elders and Yudhe as Elders, Soulless as Soulless, and Luciphage as an Elder. (Elohora, choose up to two people during the night, and designate one to scry and one to protect. If you protect yourself, you may not scry.)
Yudhe : When/if the one infused with the spirit of Yudhe turns their attention to someone else during the night, the following day that person will be more persuasive in conveying their decisions. If the player who is Yudhe dies, the spirit retreats. (Yudhe, choose someone other than yourself to focus on during the night. The following day, their vote will count double, but such will remain secret until the results are tallied at the end of the day.)
Luciphage : Luciphage has scrying powers, to see the Elders as unremarkable and Yudhe, Elohora and the Soulless as intriguing. Though mutually unaware of each others' identities, the Luciphage wins with the Soulless. As the Luciphage does not join in the killings during the night, the Elders do not need to eliminate the Luciphage to be able to win. (Luciphage, let me know who you wish to scry during the night. Your goal is to try and determine, through scryings and suspicions, who the Soulless are in order to work with them.)
Soulless : The Soulless know others of their kind, and will work together to decide who to target for death each night. (Soulless, contact each other to choose a target. All Soulless must let me know if they designate a spokesperson to give the vote, or you may simply all give me your own votes to consider. If I receive multiple choices with no clear majority, the target will be chosen at random from those choices ... please try to work together and agree, though.)

In the interest of starting a conversation, Xenthos has been a Soulless in every game I've played in, and I got the impression that he had been in all of the ones before that. That being said, my jump to conclusions will vary depending on Tsuki.
Tsuki, did you select each role randomly, or did you designate each person intentionally?
If Tsuki picked each person, then I would guess that Xenthos is _not_ a Soulless this time. I'd also suspect Shiri as the Yudhe, but that doesn't seem like it would matter all that much in terms of who we should kill off.
Mmk. Discuss.

Mathmatically, the odds are strongly against Xenthos being a Soulless.
However, I do believe he's been a soulless in just about every game. That said, it really is just a 50/50 chance of him being it or not. However, we may wish to be safe. Shrug. It's a place to start from, either way.

Actually, depending on whether or not the 3 v. 7 means 3 Soulless, or 2 Soulless and a Luciphage, the odds are either 3/10 or 1/5 for him being randomly picked as a Soulless. But since I'm going to suggest that Rhayni isn't Soulless (he's dead) the odds are 2/9 or 3/9 = 1/3.
But like I said, I want to hold off on accusing him until I know if Tsuki picked the people or randomized them.
Edit: Fixed the odds.

Heh, well... yeah, I have been Soulless quite often. All I can say is I'm not now, but I'm also not anything important, so it might be worth killing me just to make sure you don't get someone of more use than I.
If we had more players, I'd definitely urge this, but we have so few that losing one is going to be a pretty large blow. That, and I don't want to die so soon.

I'd rather Tsuki not say. Simply because. And, I'd assume it's 2 soulless and a luciphage - luciphage wins when the Soulless win, so why would she count him among the Elder Gods and Elohora?

The way I see it, if Tsuki did pick people and tells us about it, then we can play guessing games about who she might have picked. It gives us something to work with, which is especially important since we have so few chances.
The main problem is that Tsuki randomized them last time, so there's no reason to suspect that she didn't this time. So it's probably a moot point. I'd still like to know, even if only privately in a PM or something.

Now, if she tells you privately, then she needs to tell everyone. I prefer a level playing field.
That said, basing it on something as non-germaine as Tsuki's method of picking is a bad decision, IMO. But, I'll leave it to Tsuki.

Ugg, the first day. I HATE the first day (played this in other forms elsewhere). Someone always dies that shouldn't. That said, I apologise for being clueless.
I have the feeling that Xenthos is something. What I can't say, but it's SOMETHING. Of course, that's a good reason NOT to do him in.
I do have a question before I make my vote: if you make a vote can you change it if it's before the day's over?

As far as I know the last few games have all been random, so I'd guess this one is too. I remember something about a hat with names on slips of paper.
So, that said, little slips of paper might be a good way to start the voting.
That also said, pointing fingers so soon is mighty suspect...but so is me calling something suspect. Meh.

Interesting point. Quite ready to label Xenthos a Soulless, aren't you, Requiem?
Unknown2005-08-01 01:05:21
Quite the contrary, if you read my post I specifically said that I was going to say that Xenthos wasn't a Soulless if Tsuki was picking them, and that the odds were relatively low (2/9) of him being a Soulless again if she didn't. I also said that the whole point was to start a discussion but that I wasn't going to accuse anyone yet.
That being said the first implication of guilt was from Quidgyboo and the first outright accusation was from you.
Edit: Just to clarify, I'm not saying that I necessarily suspect either of you. I'm merely pointing out who started flinging accusations. Have a nice day.

this is my first one so i am still unsure of what is really going on.
Shiri2005-08-01 02:20:28
Hmm, I got plain old Elder this time. Sad! I've been something special every last one. But then we only have 10 people this time.
In a hurry atm, so I'm voting to get rid of Xenthos, because he was the first accused. Oh, and Tsuki randomised it LAST time... I think. So I think it would be this time. Maybe I'm confused though.

I think I will vote for Shiri because...because I can!
Unknown2005-08-01 02:24:08
To Marcalo,
Basically if you're an Elder or an other Elder-liker type role, you just randomly accuse people and kill them until you kill off all of your other Elder people and you lose.
If you're Soulless or Soulless-friendly you randomly accuse people that aren't Soulless and try to get them to kill each other off.
It's usually completely random the first couple of times, and then after that you either hope that the Elohora can manage to find some Soulless to kill.
Edit: I'm also going to vote for Shiri. Primarily because he said he was an Elder and I don't think it's Xenthos. No substantial reason besides that.
Another question for Tsuki: are you going to be kind and tell us who we killed after the fact?

Bah, 2v1. Oh well, doesn't matter so much if I'm not special anyway. But you don't have many people to spare you know! Down to 6 of us vs. 3 of them now, 5 if you manage to kill me.
