Think the point here is though.. is that its YOUR problem. Admin don't base game decisions based on what one guys endless crusade against it might be.

My point is that you present the proof that communes exist to purge the Taint, so they are just natural enemies of Magnagora, and then you claim that Glomdoring was a mistake and Gloriana should return. Gloriana, which would oppose the taint, just like Serenwilde and New Celest. Which would end up 3 vs 1, obviously, whenever would the situation require.

What did I want way back when? I wanted Gloriana to return and be evil and AMBIVALENT to the taint, but be UNTAINTED itself. If they no longer care about the taint or even support it then Serenwilde should be pissy with them, but slightly guilty for letting them get that way. Glomdoring would have needed some severe event to force it to be opposed to Serenwilde, duh, but it didn't have to be 100% antithetical, nor devolve the reason for all conflict into just tainted/untainted, force teamsies, and engender so many contradictions.
Too late for that now, obviously. However, if we stopped trying to convince people to accept Glomdoring as something that clearly they should not historically and starting brainstorming alternate measures of restoring a four-way conflict, maybe we could make some progress.

Elryn, you quit the game because faelings got specialized in Glomdoring? Dude... it's an obsession.
World became more interesting with 4th force... and Glomdoring theme seems quite original to me.

Nope.
I said that was the start of the decline.

The likelihood of getting a four-way conflict right now is near nil, and it stems only from the players themselves. You will always have groups that fight together beyond city bonds, instead as friends. As soon as Mag sees a Seren/Celest in the same room not killing each other...it will be "They are allied, let us ally again." The same can be said in reciprical, as a Mag/Glom in the same room would thereby be an alliance. Can they plan a major event to change that...maybe...but the last time a war like that was pushed on us, it didn't go over very well.
As far as Glomdoring goes, I think it provides a very unique experience to IRE as well as serves the niche it was intended. It was a dark forestal community, which is something many of the other realms are still pandering for. It provided a balance to the elixir situation, which was quite crippling to have it balanced on one side. If brought back as non-tainted, I really don't think it would have survived the first few months. They would have Seren beating on it for some reason, Celest would be on it during influencing, and Mag wouldn't lift a hand to help if non-tainted probably. I think the route taken was the best one for the game, and being one of the original pushers for the Gloriana...that type of commune would not do well in the scope of the game. I'm not looking at it from a historical perspective, mainly my views of what would fit inside the game itself. I don't see an non-tainted Gloriana becoming anything more than a cut-rate Serenwilde...while the Glomdoring will eventually grow into a clear and unique entity.

I think you're right about that, and we can certainly hope. It's also a good point that it appealed to a niche market, which is indeed beneficial to the realm as a whole.
I just wish... it had been thought through a little more.
