With every copy of Dragon Quest 8, yep.

Damn. Lemme see when that's out in UK.
Kh is ok, bit repetitive. And the pinnochio level SUCKED.

YES IT DID!
KH2 has a Tron world though. A lot of new worlds, actually..
I've been playing the Chain of Memories rom to try to figure out how the stories bridge together, but I totally hate the card system they used. They could've just held Final Mix out and threw this extra stuff there or made a manditory prologue in KH2.
I'm going to see if I can get my friend's copy of the FF12 demo tomorrow when he brings it to the job, but my views are going to be biased since I used to play FF11 and don't mind the whole.. active thing.
Shiri2005-11-19 06:31:58
Since when was Tron disney?
And hm, never tried KH2. Is it even out in Britain? Didn't bother to check.

Active thing? In an MMO, I don't care if I don't control my party. In a console, single player RPG, I do. The only reason I haven't burned Star Ocean yet is because I like everything BUT the combat. In FFXII, the only thing I DO like so far is the apparent Time/Black differentiation, finally, and Green/White split. Reminds me of Oracles and Time Mages, which is a good thing.
Shiri2005-11-19 07:17:54
What do you mean finally? Time and Black were different in like 5! Green/white though? How's that?
Unknown2005-11-19 07:27:02
I think Green is like status cures/buffs.
I didn't really mind the Star Ocean 2 NPC control, but 3 annoys me with its "Attack/Defense" skillups that can completely ruin AI.
The Gambit NPC controls seem nice during active battle, and if you want to deal with the waiting between characters you can always switch back to Wait mode (Not sure if anyone looked at the video/preview I provided. You neeeever do! ).
Personally.. I just think it's something everyone should try for themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if they put another demo in KH2 when that's released in the U.S. and UK just to boost those sales and promote more hype (As if Kingdom Hearts will need help selling).
Edit: And yes, Disney made Tron.

What the hell is white going to do if it doesn't have buffs/status cures? Just cure1-3 and life1-2 and autolife?
Unknown2005-11-19 08:32:15
Just reviewed the video. White still keeps status cures, but I do think green contains status buffs still and also other status down effects (I don't see Poison and etc in the Black Magic, and Time Magic had spells like "Slow" and "Immobilize.")
It um.. still has Holy.

Ah, I see.
I wondered after I posted if maybe Blind/Silence etc. went back to white.

In FFT, Yin-Yang magic from Oracles was debuffs. Silence, Blind, Chicken, etc. Sounds like what Green will be. White kept cures and buffs.
Shiri2005-11-19 11:28:11
I don't think I ever actually used oracles.
This is probably a side effect of playing too much of the other final fantasies, where enemies were either piss-easy (and didn't require status effects to beat) or bosses (and were immune to them anyway, except for the 1-2 that got nailed by phoenix down every game.)
I just seem to remember silence being white in FF4...or 5.
Although I might be wrong there.

Oh, you didn't need them in FFT either. Orlandu = teh win. But they were still handy if you did. And Beowulf was just awesome (had basically the whole skillset, but instant and more powerful, as a sword skill). Chicken basically takes any enemy out in two hits.
Shiri2005-11-20 08:50:40
In other news, I just managed to get FFT working -properly- (albeit with music issues) after trying for like 3 years. Chrono Cross is next!
