Daevos can't even handles some bees and squizzels?

I have to seriously wonder one of three things everytime I hear that story about Arilyon.
1) Everyone of these "top fighters" she fought sat around surged to get triggers and see how many times a demesne had to hit to kill someone
2) Daevos can't spar 1 on 1 against a demesne user
3) The story is greatly exaggerated.

First of all you can't accurately time runes with effects, so impatience hitting would be luck of the draw. Sap only lasts so long. Like until you are smart enough to cleanse. Passive effects are negligble. Now to prove this we tested on Narsrim. One of the "top fighters" in the game. One of "tankiest" fighters in the game. Just so happens he has a level 3 penalty to one of Hartstone's passive effects too. Great! He should take a beating in damage!



Now that is passive effects. Let's have a gander at Active damage (Cudgel).

Narsrim is overpowered. Apparently a Moondancer is more powerful than an ur'Guard in Fullplate. Upgrade Knights and downgrade Moondancers!

Now kiddies I think we have learned 2 things from this. People who claim Hartstone demesne is more powerful than Aqua or Geo need to find themselves a much better grade of crack to smoke, and two Narsrim is overpowered since he takes less damage with a level 3 penalty than Terenas does with no penalty.

Well, from what I remember, the way she did it was time her sting, spores and stuff to go with treebane (it's not that hard to time things if you use the timer on Zmud). When Daevos got hoisted, she'd sap right after her demesne hit, then hit with runes which, as a faeling, happened pretty frikkin fast. Once done, stack cudgel damage. Not too difficult now, is it?

See? Now just SAP when that hits and toss runes. If that were my demesne, he'd be gone right there =/ Strategy guys, strategy!

Sure. Focus body, cleanse. Just have to watch out for stupidity, and you'll be fine. It doesn't matter all that much if you stack spores and pollen on top, they won't stop you from cleansing. An infused ger would make things harder, but since you can't time runes nearly as well, it's not as easy as you make it sound.

You mean timed like Terenas just showed you? You can't get any closer than that btw, as testing with Narsrim dropping to quarter seconds after Treelife hits to try and get it timed as close as possible. In fact I had to tell Terenas to turn -off- his climb down trigger. So... what is the moral of this story?

I think you guys need a real fighter to show you how to use your demesne. The fact that you keep refuting its usefulness and power is utterly depressing.

Yes you are right. We probably do need a real fighter to show us how to use our demesne. This way we are on par with the Geomancers who simply have to turn on their demesne and go graba cup of coffee while it kills everyone.

The fact that you dare to speak as if you are anything special is sickening. I have -never- killed anyone who was REMOTELY decent by using Moonburst three times in a row. Go figure, it took you out quickly in a demesne.

The Hartstone demesne is -far- inferior to the other demesnes. Gregori's champion cudgel + lightning + squirrels + vines deals 200 damage LESS than one rockslide while prone (and as we all know, you can time tremors/rockslide). Three passive effects + one active effect < one geo passive effect.

Furthermore, Hartstone demesne cannot hinder. It doesn't take an elite fighter to realize that swarm + briars is crap when compared to deluge/needle rain/currents/stun or duststorm/stonerain (rubble)/tremors/stun.

The reason that Terenas takes a little bit more damage to me from Gregori is because he has more health. Most attacks deal base + % of health. If his health is greater, the % of health is thus greater.

the problem I see is there has only ever been a grand total of ONE good fighter to grace the ranks of hartstone, and that was ethelon way back in the day.

when you have some good fighters who can use their skills to their best effect, then you can complain. Kalodan complaining just doesn't cut it, nbeither does munsia. When I see a good fighter choose hartstone and spend some time deveoping strategy, then we can talk skill upgrades/downgradea

Do I have to point out the fact that Ethelon was a good Hartstone fighter back in the day when; Nobody had a demesne trigger and curing afflictions was still a guessing game? Not to mention a demense doing 400 damage every 10 seconds was enough to kill 90% of the population. Try and use that thing between your ears for more than just a sponge. You have shown in the past you are more intelligent than that.

Edit:: Heck I have pulled off a more successfull career than Ethelon since then considering the people I have killed have more than 900 health.

Get over your pathetic attempts to garner respect. The fact that your skills revolve around whoring aeon sleep and a 2k moonburst doesn't impress me in the least. You must really suck if you take 2k moonburts from Narsrim. I have 0 magical defenses and I only take 1k.

Let's not forget the fact he said he killed you in your demesne that you constantly go on about being such a great fighter in. You know that demesne you have level 3 health regen in?

Isn't that funny Revan, Kaervas seems to be able to handle it. In fact, we were able to fight for over an hour with neither of us being truly wounded in any shape or form. There are people who are capable of handling damage and aeon Revan, you are simply not one of them.

Furthermore Revan, I don't attempt to garner your respect. If I have the respect of anyone else, I would say that I have acted in a matter to earn it. That's how respect works: you earn it. You fill find a variety of people have posted that they feel my combat prowess is up to par with some of the top combatants in Lusternia. You name, however, is missing from all those lists.

Over the last couple days, you have degraded your reputation into that of a someone who is capable of one thing: whining on forums. You are incapable of admitting defeat when your arse is handed to you (as I did in the thread where you tried to argue that no in-game changes result from forums).

Quite honestly, I'm not asking you to stop. I enjoy the amusement of you contradicting yourself (as you did in the threat about saplings, asking on forums for a change after writing post-after-post that no changes resulted from forums), making accusations (such as my bias for saplings when you said ignite should take them down so you could make more gold as an enchanter), etc.

And let me end by saying that "your ego doesn't suit you" when you have to fill in support for your beliefs by saying "my points completely intelligent, blah blah, blah"... quite honestly, I think you may have a guilty conscience about your own intellect as you opt to remind everyone of how damn "intelligent" you are when trying to make a point.
