Narsrim, short and to the point is often more effective than long winded arguments
Addendum: Dear Narsrim, have you ever heard the things that are said about you? The fact that you even say these things islaughable. You're a fool and an egotistical whiner. -I- whine on the forums? Narsrim, you INVENTED whining on the forum! Every point you scrupulously make is easily deflatable, and you are rarely, if ever, correct on a matter. to quote some people, "It's a sad, but thankfully rare, day when Narsrim's right". Better luck next time, Narsrim. I'll leave you to your fantasy world where you think your arguments matter and you think you look cool.

Arylion was a Blacktalon and while not spectacular. It is a tad bit better than Hartstone only because we have one more passive effect where as they have Pathtwist. Its a lot easier to lock with chills and sensitivity than with pathtwist.
The only problem I find with druid demesne vs mage demesne is that being a faeling(only level 57) I cant sit in the same room as say Daevos or Xenthos and fight them. So they can sit shielded and negate ALL of my demesne effects forcing me to come to them just to break their shield. Whereas in a mages demesne you will be afflicted with something. Granted it may be easy to cure, but its still something.
(*side note - I die to bleeding and pure damage not afflictions stacking)

Bought damn time you said something I agree with!
Gregori2005-08-05 13:56:18
I swear Hartstone coders thought "hmm let's make them the affliction givers. We will tease them though. We will give them almost a stacked venom lock, but then remove any chance at all of it happening by leaving out the final component!" (insert sadistic laugh here)
Hell even Blacktalon can give a form of anorexia if they want. Not to mention Black Lung, ontop of Asthma.

Someone describe how Scarabs work. I'm curious.
Shiri2005-08-05 14:10:09
When I tested it, I got this. (I assume it was bugged back when you told me it was perma anorexia, since it isn't that way.)
They cast it at you, like darkseed.
A bit later, something appears in your throat. You can't eat or drink now.
A little after that, the scarab comes out of your throat. Now you can eat and drink again.
Then the thing appears in your throat again. And so on and so on until the effect causing the scarabs ends.
It happens 4 times.

It is their replacement for darkseed.

40. But not only does kingdom heal ~60 every few seconds, there is a skill 15 lessons into discipline that clots 20 right off the bat. And it drops by like 10 per round by itself.
Soll2005-08-07 11:32:28
Yeah, but it's over 1 willpower for each 2 bleeding you clot. Nasty, nasty thing. Nibbles through will so fast.

That's odd, because he always hit me for about 1k, while I was completely undeffed and had my robes off.

Anyone else find Protection scrolls to be a serious kick in the teeth to druids? Yes, we can dissolve, but that means we have to be in the room with you. It makes fighting at range more difficult, and makes it even harder for us to fight from the trees, since we need to swing down to dissolve you. Also, the entire extent of Hartstone hindering, with Protection up, is Treelife. That's IT. Unless we constantly flow around dissolving, anyone who can think enough to breath and is over level 10 can walk around our demesne without a problem.

The scrolls have delays. They are like auras of rebounding that are even easier to nullify and only negate half your skills. EDIT: Plus I'm told the things aren't resisted 100% of the time. But that might be wrong.
Also, fighting at range is freaking annoying for everyone involved except the person with the staff and sling. Notice that it's also trivially nullified, so you can -still- wander out and sling runes etc. at them without much difficulty. Also these things are on an 8 second balance.
I think the main point of these things is a great idea from Estarra that basically doesn't nerf demesnes in solo combat at all, but makes them less hindering for teams. (No more poison farts in geo demesnes until you actually get near the geo = rocks.)
Sylphas2005-08-15 16:37:56
Not less hindering for teams, NOT hindering at all, in the case of Hartstone. Geos still have passive stun and knockdown, at least.
