Well.. *cracks knuckles* as the One and only King of Celest I'll offer my two soveriegns.

The job is a massive hassle. Massive. You won't believe how much crap you have to take from all sides.

However... depending on your position, you don't really have to take any crap. Not all tells merit an answer, not all issues require your immediate concern.

I took on a hell of a lot personally, as most of my staff just wasn't really there, and the few who were, I relied on a lot and give great thanks for. In a sense you've got to be able to tackle anything, but you also have to know when to get help.

It's not that easy.. but.. it's not that hard. You just have to know firmly what you stand for. The only real problems occur when your own people don't or won't want to back you up. Then... either you make them... or you adapt, or find something new to do.

Remember that just as much as you have power over people, you also represent the people, in the case of elected officials. If someone doesn't care for you they can take you right out with enough support. Love the people, and they'll love you, I'd say. You know.. I still have these little wierdos who call me "king" even to this day...

It's a massive, but not impossible project. You just have to have it together and have the support of your peers, ultimately. Some of it might be about luck, but most of it comes down to your own actions.

As for anyone who thought that my reign as king came down to luck, come to my house and fight me. (PM me for the adress). I'm not joking. I will dim mak you.

See... the simple fact is, anyone who lives on a mud has serious mental and/or emotional issues and is almost incapable of dealing with the real world. The majority of people who strive for leadership positions here can barely deal with every-day life as we know it. I alone should prove that even an alcoholic manic-depressive can achieve things beyond one's wildest dreams here.

So um.. just remember.. everyone sucks, no matter how much you love 'em, everyone is worthy of your love, no matter how much they suck, and don't let any idiot tell you what's what. Follow your own heart and let the losers keep on being losers, no matter how much they think they can "pwn" you in a fake world. Just stay true to yourself.

You both lack what each other have and both of you need to stop bashing each other every chance you get. I think the only reason Rhysus hasn't chimed in is because he hasn't noticed the thread or else he's being polite (and if he's just not commenting then I appreciate that fact..)

If we could combine Rhysus and Galvadore, Celest would never need a new leader ever again, but sadly we can't. They both performed certain duties very well and they both sucked major at other things.

It comes with the position so meh.. I could compare me and Vesar but I won't.
