Why won't it stop conflict?

They still enslave fae, they still have to get all those fae to gain Night's control of faethorn, and as such they may still end up with Magnagora lording over faethorn so they can grab as many fae as possible

Have you tried to get unenemied? It won't be nearly as expensive as you fear.

Aerenna, Roamer of the Basin (A verdant and prismatic sycamore )
Unknowing Master, Laysus L'Eternae, Moon(A stand of fruit trees between sp)
Lanista Malicia La'Saet, Sunaj Blade (A minty flower patch)
Keeper Kante Shizomoru, Dragon Warrior (A singing lane)
Athalas La'Saet (Twisting pathway into the tainted)
Rose Warrior, Munsia D'cente`, Natures t(Twisting pathway into the tainted)
The High Wiccan Vixen, Vix, An'Taithe Am(Backwards avenue)
+ Gregori with a gem and demesne.
Amazing... to get unenemied, we need to stage a raid, causing the exact same conflict which was complained about. Hmmm...

I'm quite sure someone has run tests to see how much it costs and 100k was the figure for Faethorn, if I remember correctly.
We can't really go and run very in-depth tests with that sums of money, seeing as we have no way to figure out how much it takes than trying with different sums each of which we will lose until we have a lucky win.
Gregori2005-08-06 19:39:41
Perhaps what Estarra was trying to say, is there was a change to getting unenemied while Faethorn was neutral. Now I can understand why you don't want to run in and check, but to say "Well it has always been like this, so it must be still." when very obviously changes have been made to the quests and conflict in Faethorn, is just not looking outside the box.

Forgive me if I'm not in a particularly tolerant mood, but how about instead of bitching that you'll have to spend some gold, you be pleased that not only are we making changes to quests you've been asking for but also making it easier for you to get unenemied.
If we did this for Serenwilde in some way I guarantee there'd be whining about how we favour them so much.
Things don't always go your way, they are right now, accept both gracefully.

Firstly, while I think the quest should've been different for Glom other than honeycakes, I like it overall. It also helps those that wish to show Glomdoring as something more than just a bunch of people who want to kill everything.
However, the fighting will just remain the same, since both sides just hate each other. I bet if the fae start hugging the Glommies saying "Please shadow us! PLEASE! We want to be with you" Seren will still have 20 people by the archways and Glom will still be hosting raiding parties.
I guess the question is, what ARE we looking to happen here? Peace? For everyone to just agree to dissagree? For one side to die?

I'll try 50K, which is still way too much, once I found me a trans influencer.
I mean, we had novices, lowbies and midbies all working on gathering fae, they all got enemied, none of them have any chance whatsoever to get unenemied to Faethorn.

Can't see it doing much for the conflict levels, although it'll even up the playing field slightly, especially now we have marsu running around graced to find fae. :/

Just fighting fire with fire, Laysus. When Aerenna hides behind grace to collect all of your corpses and to find demesne break points and let you all teleport in. We are going to start doing the same.
Edit: My little entrance to Faethorn was for a different purpose anyway because I'm enemied and the fae just run away from me.

Graced people should not be allowed in areas of high contension, such as Faethorn, Nil, Celestia, and revolting villages.

Seconded.
Lisaera2005-08-07 17:13:06
Subjective. What is an area of contention? Faethorn doesn't have to be a warzone, you make it that way. What happens when there's no one fighting in Faethorn? Is it still in contention? How often are the cosmic planes actually fought on? I only very rarely see people fighting and doing the conflict quests up there, so I would disagree that they're in contention at all. Is a highway in contention if people are fighting there a lot?
Unknown2005-08-07 17:35:47
I think it's quite obvious that Faethorn is a warzone while there's a raid going on. And it's quite obvious that someone is abusing grace when it is used to get past the raiders and find break points after those have taken the key locations and one could not do that otherwise.
So, I'm told there is no such thing to the administration as abusing grace, as in, it will not be punished. Is this true?
I personally don't like people hiding behind grace because I generally dislike any uncounterable invulnerability game mechanic, but if it is considered a normal part of combat and everyone uses it then I'll at least not tell people from "my team" off for doing it...

There is such a thing as abusing grace, walking through a demesne just happens to not be that thing.

Eh, I just don't like the idea of using grace to gain a tactical advantage. I would like it if graced people couldn't even move until they rejected -grins- But that's not very fair in some situations, I guess.

You mean, such as using grace to get to Maeve's throne room to set up a rage coven? Heh.
Sylphas2005-08-07 19:09:14
This is one of those times I'd love to be against doing things like that, but when I know it just give the enemy who DOES do it an advantage, I can't really say anything.
