Just for the sake of clarity I do believe that it is only Estarra and Roark's game and that Lisaera is just another player in a different role than the rest. Her word is not a direct ruling on how the game should be played.

Still an admin. So what she said can be taken as what all the admins would agree on, unless specifically corrected by those on top otherwise.

Our current policy is not to go out of our way to limit what non-aggressive quests can be done while being graced. Certainly, we do not want to hamstring newbies who are interested in doing non-aggressive quests by jumping to re-code quests every time someone screams at us that a newbie doing a certain quest while graced is "abusing" the system.
That said, if you decide to go out of your way to "prove" to us how grace can be abused by creating an alt out of spite for the sole purpose of disrupting the game, you may see the darker side of Estarra.

I agree with that!
I would like to see the potential in this game for somebody to reach demigod without ever having to kill a thing. I don't know if that's possible the way it was designed, but it's a nice idea.

So, things like emoting illusions in the middle of a battle while you are graced to screw up your opponents, or just to screw up everyone?
163674
That's abuse as you are essentially attacking everyone just as if you were doing the illusions.
Forgot to respond - I'm not a player, I'm an administrator, I have a number of responsibilities, none of which you need to know about. The only thing you need to know is I'm one of the reasons Lusternia runs, things are dealt with and fixed and new things are added. If you don't like what I say, that's tough, but what I say isn't just pulled out of the air, it is, unless obviously just my opinion, what the administration thinks.

So far, buying, selling, and RPing me hasn't gotten me a single %. Looks like we're gonna have to kill things.
Lisaera2005-08-08 23:50:07
Actually it is possible as you get the same amount of exp for winning an influence battle against a mob as you do for killing it.

And this, ladies and gents, is why I tell people to just give up the goat while it's alive - I've no doubt in my mind that Estarra is a highly paid assassin living off her retirement pension.
Remember Hitler? Yea. That was no suicide.
Terenas2005-08-08 23:54:07
Hmm, last I recall. You can use illusions while graced, unless that was changed.

If only all mobs could be influenced.
Unknown2005-08-08 23:55:23
influencing is quite a lot harder than killing though

The administration are not players, they are... the administration. What we say goes, and only Estarra or Roark can change it.
EDIT: by Lisaera...

I was fearful it would be misconstrued as an insult, and not a witty, glib remark. Instead, it was taken as sucking in an upwards manner towards Estarra.
To rectify this situation, I point out I've done nothing to slurp vertically towards Fain or Hajamin. Or Shikari.
That said, I must contemplate a way to insult Estarra in an equally swallowy downward manner as the suckage upwards manner, so that they even out.
I believe Lacostian specializes in taking two opposites and meeting in the middle, yes? Perhaps He could help me with this.
Or Hajamin/Shikari could just stick me with one of Their pointy things. Shikari tried showing Kalo His axe, but Kalo was half tempted to take it and run off, since he can't weaponprobe, and figured it was worth a lot of cash.
