just curious on what you guys think.
Gregori2005-08-06 20:59:02
I think it is a little early to have a poll that would be accurate to say anything about whether it is liked or not.
Gregori2005-08-06 20:59:48
I am glad changes were made. We will have to wait more than an hour though to decide if I like these changes that were made.

Oh, goodie! We get to decide if Gregori likes these changes!

I think Lisaera just got booted from the front of the "Can I have your baby?" line.
Gregori2005-08-06 21:18:45
It's a figurative term. Unless you would prefer a completely biased one sided vote. In which case I think the changes are great. They completely benefit the Serenwilde. Don't have a clue about the Glomdoring yet as it has only been an hour or so and nothing really has happened on their count to show how the changes affect them, but if that isn't important in deciding on a vote I will happily say the changes are great.
Realistically, though. We are all glad changes were made. Also realistically though it can't be decided in 60 minutes if these were the right changes.
I was not insulting your making changes, though.

I was just poking fun at the syntax of your sentence. Sorry, if my joke fell flat!
Galatae2005-08-06 21:21:47
The changes look promising... however, I'm not going to vote until some time has passed and I see if it has an effect on Glomdoring's side of the situation.
However, if people haven't made it clear enough yet... Thank you, wonderful Divine coders, for making it so we don't have to kill those Fae anymore.
Edit: Edited for slightly weird wording on my part.

Meh see this is what happens after waking up, logging on and immediately being killed by the enemy because you made the mistake of logging off in the wrong spot. You misconstrue everything for the rest of the day. My apologies if I got overly defensive.
I still say though that a poll this soon would not accurately reflect anything but a response about are we glad something was done. Which I am completely glad about.

Its hard to tell at the moment due to the fact that previous game mechanics ensured that all of Glomdoring that participated in gathering fae would become enemies to Faethorn.
Now that game mechanics have switched, I think it would be fair to remove all enemy statuses received from these actions because as it stands we either have to fork out 150k per person because we can't sit in Faethorn long enough to use amnesty or we send in our newbies to be attacked and no doubt killed because we cannot complete the quests as enemies, I believe.
I believe these changes will be great if this is made fair. Thanks for all of your time giving us new and great stuff

It's nowhere near 150k for unenemying, as has been said in the other thread. It was implied it's much less than 100k, too.
Gregori2005-08-07 00:19:15
I think it has been pointed out by at least 2 Admins. (Estarra and Lisaera) that getting unenemied is not as hard as it once was. You all keep arguing that it was that way, so it still is.

I believe it would honestly be unfair for them to unenemy all of you.
They didn't unenemy everyone to Nil after the Gorgulu incident. They didn't give EVERYONE who was in the first few minutes of open beta 100 neos, just because some got them.
When there was a serious bug that made xp gains insanely high (People at level 20 were leveling for killing a single chicken), but when people abused it, they did nothing.
That's Lusternia's (I'm assuming IRE's) policy - they don't undo things just 'cause.
Don't see Mhaldor asking to be unenemied to Moghedu.
Elryn2005-08-07 00:21:15
Well, as long as its only those who killed the little fae and not fae knights or butter, I don't think it could hurt. Of course its not necessary, but as long as it is easy to see who killed collectable fae and who killed Faethorn denizens, it would be a lovely gesture on behalf of the admin.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the change affects the city presence on Ethereal, if it is reduced by this Lusternia will start looking up again.

No. See my previous post as to why!
You didn't HAVE to kill the fae. It was your decision. You knew what it meant. You're at a disadvantage. Not our fault.
Elryn2005-08-07 00:24:51
Aye, regardless, it would be a lovely gesture, just as it would have been to unenemy those who were enemied to Nil by the tainted fae event.
It's not necessary, but it would be nice.

The only reason that I'm saying it would be fair to do so is because game mechanics ensured that we got enemied.
You can argue that we didn't -have- to kill fae but thats just stupid. It was designed to be that way and people are going to do it that way.
There are a lot of minor changes that arent announced very well either but the last person I heard get unenemied to Moonspirit/Faethorn was at 150k each.

Overall it balances things, as Daevos said, but in the short term it puts Glomdoring at a rather glaring disadvantage.
Actually, can you give cakes to the Fae and have them come with you even if you're enemied? If so, then that's not too bad.

Unless its a bug, no you can't. The fae run off panicking when you give a cake to them. I tried it 15 minutes ago.
