We have no information to say that Lake is NOT as ethereal as Moon or Night. Heck, Night isn't as ethereal as Moon, she has a physical form - Moon from my experience never did.



Oh! Agreed! I always thought that thier tree would be a giant white willow in the middle of a massive lake.

So far all the Communes follow the structure of having the female
spirit as leader of the wiccans and the male spirit leading it's druids
with it's guards choosing either way. So I just can't see Sundancers.

I personnaly want to see a giant Mangrove thicket, so I don't know Swamp dancers?

I suppose the other spirits could tire of waiting for River and Bear to return
their commune and found a new commune.

But "lake" isn't as heavenly (as Elryn described) as sun, so it "fits" even better with sun.

You can't just "found a new commune". I'm going to guess Mother Tree gave Ellindle and Glinshari the three Seeds, as everything seems to point to that. Three. Serenwilde, Glomdoring, and Ackleberry. You just don't get a new one like you do when, in kindergarten, you drop your cookie in the dirt or something.

Besides, there's no forest to found. If they want Ackleberry back, they can delve a way to pierce the Veil and either travel to a point beyond Time, or to force them back from beyond Time Itself. Only two options, if you want it back before it wants to come back.

Well, there could be one like, right outside the Basin. I don't think the Basin is THE only remaining life, it could just be MOSTLY that.

I've been saying it should be a willow for ages, because more than any other tree, willows grow by riversides. They're very thirsty trees.

Anyway, we will then plant it in the desert and it will make a new nexus, and a commune will mystically appear all around it.

Or underground around it, that works too. With Brother Groundhog, 'cause he'll dig the tunnels and stuff.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but there is a giant white willow tree in the Balach Swamp (used to be a marsh I think, marsh relates to rivers/lakes somewhat ) that is covered with runes. An underground, secret coven that was destroyed and erased from history maybe?
