That's like saying that because there's not just ice cream and out of date ice cream, there's also different flavours, that it's not still better to have ice cream that isn't out of date.

I...don't follow. I've had about 13 hours sleep over the past three days though, so it could be a problem on my end.

All right, if we see it from Serenwilde's point of view, their forest might be ice cream, and the Blacktalon infested forest out of date ice cream which has gone slightly nasty.

Now, shock horror, they find out that in fact they're not the only flavour of ice cream that isn't out of date, and they are chocolate, with Maeve's thingy as strawberry or whatever. Does that make them any less special? Or their viewpoint that not out of date is better than out of date any less valid?

I like these icecream analogies except it makes it tempting to go eat the Serenwilde.

I see now (it was a problem on my end, that really isn't very complicated) and I agree. We're free to play this out as we want and I'm happy to keep going along believing we're doing the right thing and thinking Maeve is a bit loopy.

And Lisaera will become tainted and dance around Magnagora after setting fire to the Serenwilde.

No seriously, I think it is much fairer this way. I especially love the balance loss going through archways, but I am a bit concerned about people camping outside and taking even more advantage of that now. But, laneth has Thirdeye, moonbeam and flow, so I am sure he can work something out .

Lisaera tries sleeping, wakes up to find Jasper slipping a hammer into Her hand and a Seal right beneath it so that if She moves, it breaks. Heh. Heh.

I don't think taming the forests is wrong per se. I think it's more like the forests still being wild and neutral, and the Fae-taught Ellindel and Glinshari magic is for swaying it towards our more direct USE. Rather than our purpose.

If that didn't make much sense, then I'll try to explain in different terms: Nejii doesn't see the Fae in Faethorn as "neutral" and equally likely to be converted by Moon or Night and their wiccans, but rather as spirits that are perfectly happy in their natural home but who if GUIDED into Mother Moon's domain can aid the Wilde with their abilities. He'd treat it the same with the forests, except that they're less "intelligent" so it's not so much "guiding" as "binding."

But since the Fae taught us these magics to begin with it's perfectly fine. *shrug*
