Personally I consider it being abused a bit. Viscanti are a race of their own, not a loophole to get any looks you like. You can have characteristic features of other races but too many people just go 'demonic furrikin/trill/whatever' route. Remember, it's viscanti with other races' features, not any race just with demonic features and mutated a bit.

The reply i got from the artist, Lance Card, is that the glow is the result of sunlight reflecting off chainmail. Which is pretty much what I was thinking
