I did this about 3 years ago.. don't laugh:

Blood was flowing out of his hands as he tried to grab the stars. Nothing was different, from this day or that, or he is just a normal person. But he is not a normal person and this day is different from that. This day he has the chance to do something, that day is gone. What is normal about this child, as he gets beaten up every day. Practically nothing except for the fact of his story. His life story is far more different from everyone else’s, and nothing can change that. He is just the weird kid that is down the block and nobody wants to talk to him. Nobody will.

Being born is nothing unique. It happens everyday. What happened though was that this boy is special. Everyone refers to him as a handicap, with his life increasingly hardened by the fact that he can never use his legs. The special thing about this child is that instead of walking, he tries flying, and if you watch him, you can see him succeed. But this is a private thing, one thing that is protected by walls and barriers and magic spells. This is a thing that is called his soul, and despite his cage, he has the key. This way he is free to soar.

The sad thing though about human life is how it can label people and put them into groups. I read once in a book a quote, “If you bring a whole group of people, all equal to each other in every way, if you leave them together for a day, they will form groups and separate, bringing prejudice here to stay.” This boy was labeled as a weirdo and never really given a chance to grow and live. He is constantly made fun of and this is how he lives in a recess of books and words and ideas, something that he can rule. He is the king of books, he can read what he wants to make him happy or sad, this is what changed his life. He is now united by these books that have changed his life. They will do this again and again.

Life is sad, it goes with out saying, yet nothing is new about this. Yet this boy is living and growing, with nobody to tame him. He shall forever be viewed as an outcast, despite his personality which is like flowing red wine. He lives alone, yet he has his friends. Everything can stop him in his anger, and yet nothing can make him dead. He is forever immortal, and doomed to live a mortal life.
