Is that bar on the far left a meter telling you how close you are to becoming a demigod?
Shiri2005-08-11 00:04:44
I thought that was my power...what is the blue one above my health though? And the door and stair things? Is that for in/out/up/down respectively?
Corr2005-08-11 00:06:39
Power is green, Bar above your health is EXP... easier to tell when your lower level.
Estarra2005-08-11 00:08:34
Big Blue Vertical Bar = POWER
Blue up arrow = XP
Red Heart = health
Blue Droplet = mana
Yellow Running Man = endurance
Purple Funny Square = willpower
Green Funny Square = ego
Ta!

Are there any plans to allow the client to have customizble backgrounds, like you upload pictures to become the background? *hope*
It rocks by the way! (though slow on my old Mac )

Sorry, custom backgrounds probably wont happen.

Wow the Nexus looks great! The Portal of Fate picture is awesome!
Shiri2005-08-11 00:30:41
How about any new ones, even not customiseable ones? Particularly I just want the old "Ethereal" one I used back, because black and my highlighting do not make good friends.
(Also, there appears not to be any kind of "bug" symbol, like the thing you get when you log in directs me to, making it hard for me to bug my magenta highlights not working.)

Although it's practical in-game purpose may be limited for those who need mad h@XX0r triggers for Player Vs. Player, due to being java, I think it will be extremely nice for newbies and anyone else who doesn't need to cure 9,000,000 afflictions every other second. Having a well-designed custom client would certainly want to make me keep playing a game.
My only suggestion would be to make the background black, for easier reading. But I'm so used to the thoughtless void that is MUSHclient, how should I know.
Or maybe you can already change the background colour and I never even checked.

Don't know if it is possible, but mouse over tool tips for what everything is would be nice.
Shiri2005-08-11 00:43:17
The background IS black, and I wish it wouldn't be. I want my old purply Ethereal, because my highlights are all VISIBLE on it.

It's greenish-graying-brown-something for me.
I may be colour blind, but I can tell black from not black.
Unknown2005-08-11 00:48:49
Click the gears - you can change the background.
Shiri2005-08-11 00:49:44
I can only change it from black to leather and back.

There's three. Black, normal, and leather.

Where "normal" is "leather." At least, that's what I get.

Looks great, I just have a couple questions about praticality. Mainly, if your in a room which has things that would normally make it so you *don't* know what the exits are, be that geomancy duststorms, or illusionary wall illusions or what have you, do the arrows on the client still show you what the exits are in that room?

No. Moreover, it won't actually let you go that way. I encountered that difficulty trying to stumble from Mother to the Commune, because there's a secret exit en route.
