So Shiri helped me figure out that the problem was that I didn't have the current Java.
And now my only complaint is that when I click randomly on the border someplace it logs me off sometimes.

Yaeh, that's what I was talking about here.

Also for some reason occasionally I accidentally double click on something invisible near the bottom of the screen and I get logged out and put back at the login screen, having lost all defs and fae.
And I don't know what I'm doing wrong there, anyone know?

I don't know what it's about but it's annoying.

... so that's what that is. I thought I was going insane.

No, Joli dear. You're insane anyway.
Anyway, I love this client. I've started scripting on it, and while it's not as powerful as MUSHClient or zMUD, it's respectable in its own right. I also want the ability to import/export scripts to a .txt file :/

Anyone want to post a guide to scripting for dummies? I read the Nexus Help site but I still don't get it. :/
Corr2005-08-15 06:32:43
Having opened up the Nexus client in a full window, I have discovered the is a sneaky little red bar just above the text entry field, and if you click between that bar, and the text field, you will logout.
Roark2005-08-15 10:31:46
If Nexus disconnects you oddly, the red text it shows you on the next screen would be a clue as to what the problem is. Just message it to me.
Corr2005-08-15 17:02:35
When you click on the red line it reads "Connection Closed" I'm assuming there is a "log out" button that is hidden to most people, but if you look closely you can see its that red line I am talking about.

I noticed it after you said it. You are right, it must be that, because it always happens when I've been flicking around other windows and am trying to click into the text box again. Why is it there? It keeps losing me my defs, which sucks, because Nexus has a considerable advantage over plain JAVA in that it does not seize up and force me to reinstall my JAVA runtime environment every ~2 hours.
Vix2005-08-15 18:04:10
It's kind of weird because sometimes I click on it and it logs me off fully and sometimes I click and I only get a d/c and don't lose my defs.
