meh just scanned noted tradeskill. while i don't think a new tradeskill is the most neccessary thing at the moment, it could be implemented as part of a "Gatherer skillset" we have herbalists who wander about gathering herbs why not have someone who goes around gathering ores, wood and the like... aslong as serenwildes trees are safe

It was early decided in design that Lusternia would not have players gathering commodities. First, almost any design will simply encourage players to create bot scripts to accumulate commodities. Second, it is much harder to control the number of commodities (and any system that results in players able to generate unlimited commodities would obviously be a very bad thing). Third, for RP reasons, we wanted our players to be the elite who stepped out of the Portal of Fate, and not some bumpkin farmer who spends his or her days toiling in the fields or a miner drudging away in some mines.
Thus, we came up with the commodity quest system, wherein players can quest to influence the amount of commodities villages produce, and thus participate in the commodity system, however indirectly. I prefer this sytem and you will probably never see a "gatherer" skillset for commodities in Lusternia.

Tully is like...the ultrasecret ninja...cleaner, and he owns everyone. Even Daevos fears him, although he would never admit that.
