Well, most decent systems completely ignore any effects of hypochondria, so I wouldn't describe it as great. But the ability to instantly force your target to an action has its possibilities as well.

The only really nasty use for dominate is forcing debate (which you can only do if they're on balance) some feats to waste power, sip alot of absinthe (really cheap, though...) or some other interesting things that may or may not hinder your opponent. Geb's analysis of telepathy is right on the money. A bunch of trivial afflictions, two laughable ego drains and one stupifyingly good skill.

Why I said it was great when used by a Serpentlord in the other realms. In those realms, you could not just completely discount the spam of affliction symptoms you were receiving, because a few of them could very well be real ones. Here in Lusternia, the chances of that being the case are near Nil. Therefore, ignoring the symptoms while hypochondria is in effect does not have any major chances of causing any problems for the person.

Dominate has possibilities, but most of those possibilities are situational. I could follow the path of cheapness...

Anybody ever try Order Forget ? Or does that not work?

(I'd hope it doesn't, but these are telepaths, and I could see that being possible blink.gif )

No, none of those nasty things work. You can't forget skills, quit things, suicide, heartstop, or anything.

Anyone remember the days when Serpentlords were able to hypnoforce alias commands? I once saw some apprentice trapped inside the Mhaldorian subdivision because some serpentlord had made him overalias the command to leave the map, so he instead would sing some silly line on CT... Brrr. Funny but mean pureevil.gif
