Ahaha, so Communes shouldn't bash there anymore?

Who says they aren't nature Fae? Sure they aren't associated with nature as far as the communes see it, but they could be just as much a part of the natural order as Faethorn Fae and Kelpies.

It was obviously to me, Sham is just too busy managing celest to notice the little things in life.
They are fae... they just aren't NATURE fae, the faethorn fae are the spirits of nature, those fae were the spirits of ... ingredients, later they melded with the recipes themselves; so honestly, the serenwilde shouldn't have anything for or against them compared to any other sentient beings out there.
This would be the best way to discribe it in my view: Faethorn fae is to Tree as Aetherbubble fae is to Cookie.
Except, leaves are as much ingredients as sugar and spice. There's really no difference in the "Nature" aspect between a rock and a batch of sugar/salt.

It would be cool if Amberle or whatever her name is returns, and takes over Celest. And there'd be lots of tension between Her and Terentia and the terentians and stuff...

I have a feeling that the Elders who went out to try diplomacy on the Heralds, well, aren't really around anymore. I could be wrong though.

Fain?
But we know that Fain got ousted for his treachery. The meeting could be where it begins? It would explain why Meridian led the war against him--Fain fed his sister-mate to the Soulless

I had that same hunch

Well, except those who make shady deals with HORRIBLE MONSTERS OF DOOM.

I'm glad everyone likes the histories! They are more time-consuming to write than one might imagine (though a poor excuse for how long its been).
I understand that feeling. It's hard work writing creatively. But I really enjoy the background that you've written for this world. It's really epic, mix of high and low fantasy, tragedy and whimsy.
Something tells me if you IRE let you publish this campaign world as a table-top RPG it would get a lot of interest. I could see a book as big as the forthcoming Ptolus released for Lusternia.

And out of curiosity... Was this recent chapter released as foreshadowing to the recent event?

Probably.

Not like they would just release backstory for the hell of it, eh?

Knowing who Charune was was at least slightly useful during the event.
Shorlen2006-06-13 04:06:08
My guess (as I love guessing and all) is that they had most of the story written, and when an emphereal was about to be elevated to godhood, they asked him first to make the divine he wanted to play, then inserted mention of said divine into the story so the story would foreshadow his arrival, and so we would know who he was when he appeared. Makes things run much smoother that way.
Or, alternatively, the newly appointed Admin read the story before deciding which Elder he wanted to play, and choose one from there instead of making his own. I like the other theory better though.

Pffft. You'll notice the two Elders who did that lived, while all the others were either forced to run away or be devoured.
I hope the rest of the history is released soon. I have a great idea for a bardic involving Fain - entitled "Treachery", bizarrely enough - but until I know the exact circumstances involving said treachery, I can't.

But there were TWELVE traitors, not two!
Unknown2006-06-13 18:46:58
you know what I just thought of and would be cool. One of the traitors coming out of the void insane and attacking the basin. We would finally see some god-to-god action! And then when the isane divine is about to be deafeted , he shares himself, sending several hundred of mortal horrible evil insane things in too the basin, and since they are so small, the divine can't attack them one by one, so it would be our turn!

I think we need another Traitor. Because, for one, Mag needs another god, and two, the divine are getting to nice to each other.
Though having the Blue Team: Everyone, and Red Team: Fain makes for...some fun, I guess...we need less absolutes.
