Magnagora has yet to see a female god. Hmm. Maybe.
One other point. It would be interesting if a "traitor god" went to another community, causing tension.

Ya know, for some reason I think Amberle and Crumkane are traitors
Diamondais2006-06-14 21:37:33
Now that I think of it, who named the Celest Arena and did you know about Amberle? If it was a mortal.
Unknown2006-06-14 22:04:39
maybe it was imprinted in the Merian's memories?
Jasper2006-06-14 22:06:16
It could be named after the Amberle Sea in where Glomborolum resided.

Oh, good point. Forgot about that, thanks.
Vix2006-06-14 22:56:59
Yeah, it's named after the sea. When they first constructed the arena I asked Celest what the heck Amberle was.
Unknown2006-06-14 23:05:33
But still, why did they named the sea, Amberle?

The Sea was probably named after the Goddess?
I'm guessing they had a lot more information about everything than we do. Their cities existed for thousands of years or more in some cases beore the Soulless would scatter them.

I guess...

I have always wondered why there is no refrence in game to those old cities where the 9 came from.

Most if not all of them were outside the Basin of Life?

I don't think so... I got the impression that the basin of life is the basin of life because it is where the power and nexii are.
Its why the gods come to the basin when they leave the void, and not somewhere else entirely.

Nope. The other cities were decimated, but they were outside the Basin of Life.
The Basin of Life is the Basin of Life because Avechna's Peak is where the Nine made their stand and formed Avechna, so it was protected from Kethuru's "flexing" which extinguished most of the other life on the planet.

And it was all that was left from Lusternia
I am guessing that everything outside of the basin is a wasteland of deeath and pain and perhaps some kind of taint

Then where did untainted tigers, and scholars, and dwarves, and krokani, and orclach, and igasho, and trills come from?
We know that there are untainted groups outside the Basin, because they come into the basin occasionally. Kethuru's original presence didn't Taint, it just destroyed. The Taint was a result of his minimal freedom from his Prison on Astral.
Unknown2006-06-15 05:00:39
Right, the taint is the result of Kethuru's corruption of the light of Shallamar. Prior to the taint wars the soulless, as far as we know, never came into contact with the outer planes, and thus there was no taint. It's still likely a wasteland, though, with a handful of surviving pockets like the Basin of Life.
Won't it be hilarious if it turns out that Amberle was somehow partly responsible for the Soulless' victories in the Elder Wars, via siding with Fain at some point, or something?

Then Fain would just look like a pimp. I mean Amberle AND Lisaera.
Daganev2006-06-15 15:31:50
Mysterious men who wear masks tend to be pimps. Just look at Zoro and Phantom of the Opera.
