Though.. what happened to Lion? You can't bond with him, but lions still exist in Lusternia.

There's other mentioned spirits you can't bond - the sea spirits, for instance, they're mentioned in the Fall of the Celestine Empire.

EDIT: IC, I've always just BS'ed about some spirits being more 'withdrawn' and thus don't offer their gifts to mortals.

Its only Mother Lake if you are from Ackleberry. Rowena refers to Moon as Sister Moon in the histories, so apparently the Mother bit is limited to their followers.

It's always been Sister Lake for as long as I've been around. Even when it has been Mother Moon and Mother Night, though Sister/Mother kind of switch out with eachother every so often. (Though I've never heard Night referred to as Sister Night)

It doesn't really matter, they mean much the same thing in this instance.

It might be nice to open up a load of spirits, and instead of being tied to a specific commune spirit, have some mediums or thaumaturges who can access a wealth of such spirits, so you could introduce Sun and Lion without having to have a commune behind it.
