Its only Mother Lake if you are from Ackleberry. Rowena refers to Moon as Sister Moon in the histories, so apparently the Mother bit is limited to their followers.
That's because They are sisters, mortals however are lowly, and refer to them as Mother so-and-so I was rather surprised to see that the mission, of which there were three hundred and sixty five members of the First Circle, had decided to travel in a power formation called the Finger of Fate.
Holy Shi... 365+ in the FIRST circle, of which there are SEVEN. Assuming there are an even number in each we're talking 2500 Elder gods. Even 300 is a number I wasn't expecting, as mortals only know the names of a few dozen, and have only seen about a dozen or so in person. (technically 15, by my count: 5 celest, 4 seren, 3 mag, 2 glom, 1 lonely co-producer and I'm only counting elostian twice, and morgfyre once)

I've only met the Celestian gods myself, though numerous times for those two. Met Viravain once she kidnapped one of our novices to be her playmate.

It might be nice to open up a load of spirits, and instead of being tied to a specific commune spirit, have some mediums or thaumaturges who can access a wealth of such spirits, so you could introduce Sun and Lion without having to have a commune behind it.
Not for commune members it wouldn't. >_> We're divided enough as is with only two greater spirits to follow.Hart:Buy hart brand cookies, every bite full of 100% deer jerky goodness!

Just finished reading that, it was so beautiful...!

Damn, now the question will be how Fain betrayed them with the others, how Krokano became a long age fued against Aslarn? This is getting exciting!
Genevieve2007-02-11 01:17:26
And how did Trillillial and Xyl get together in the first place? Was it a blind date? Did they share a taxi together?

they met on MyCreche and started AetherChatting.. after the great Silence and the finding of the first world they set up a date and started going out ever since.
I mean, Xyl was the geekest around and only played MERs(Multi Elder Realities) while Trillillial was the Coolest girl and had lots of cuties in his MyCreche, there was no other way..

Rowena is Moon's sister?
Rowena was in such deep communion with Mother Night during the histories that yes I would say she would think of it that way. My 'They' of course refered to Moon/Night in my previous posting.Shiri2007-02-11 02:13:27
Sweet story again.

I didn't expect Amberle to be that kind of stupid. Well, maybe she deserved the fate after all.
It was funny to read about Fain being traumatized and hugging Lisaera for emotional support though.
I personally didn't feel overwhelmed by the number of the Gods. It's just a number - 5, 365 or 1264532, the only difference is the number of keys you have to hit. But it didn't make the story any less great, and great it was indeed. I especially enjoyed Aslarn's speech patterns, which apparently changed into normal when he switched to "serious mode".

Heh heh, going to your picnic that day was fun RP. And the novice whispering to us in the next room to please, please help was CLASSIC.

Well, in Amberle's defense, the Elder Gods were extremely confident and arrogant in their own power. They did deflect one attack already, were in an extremely powerful magical formation, and had been more concerned with their strength scaring the Heralds than anything else.
Of course, things don't always work out as expected.

Typically I tend to think that having people's eyes bleed is so over the top and lame.
This is quite the exception to that. I thought it fit very well. It was great to have this initial terrible encounter with the Soulless told from the point of view of a person who stayed behind too. The horror of being so powerless as the attacks began worked quite nicely.

It was really simple if you ask me.. it was a formation to maximise the attack they deal and minimize their damage they receive... it's like a cone that can turn into a sphere of kickassity... if you watch Bleach, the formation is like Ichigo's Bankai... strangely enough is also like Byakuya's Bankai

I figured it was like the Crystalism skill from the other games. The gods are all quasi-lucidian
Nerra2007-02-11 05:26:09
I think it is like a ritual-esc thing. While they are standing in this position, doing this, it makes that shield. In other words, magic that has to do with where your relative location is to another
Edit: How many heralds were there suppose to be? I got the impression there were like 30 :S

Concerning the number of Elders, don't forget that massive numbers of them were eaten by the heralds, some splintered and are probably still lost outside the Basin, some mortal races were eaten by the Soulless in the Vernal wars, and plenty of divine are still probably either floating around in the void making their way to Avechna, or floating around in the void being eaten by soulless genitalia tentacles.
