Still the best part of the entire History for me was when First circle flew up from the observatory to meet the soulless. It struck avery strong mental image that I swear I could draw should I have the time -.-

And damn, only ten First Circles left? How many gods of other circles are still around? I assumed there to be hundreds yet. I mean, I know the first mission was comprised ONLY of First Circle members, but wow, ten.

And maybe there are multiple Maeve's? I mean, the Maeve we have now has aspects of Night/Moon, so at the peak, before any spirits or forests were destroyed, how many ethereal influences would Maeve have had? I agree with whoever said it was more of a race of people. Maybe a race of Queen Maeves (God help us) who dwindled as forests were destroyed, spirits were consumed, or whatnot.

Maybe Fain was once gentle and thoughtful. That's the direction I think this story's been going in, anyways.

Either way, Loboshi's story explains a lot- how Orlachmar became the first orclach to begin with. I honestly pictured him as being a standard greyskin- not the golden being he apparently was before being killed off by Illith. When he splintered, all orclach would carry the racial traits the Soulless essence forced on him- the good and the bad. The pathos behind some orclach feeling like their essence is a terrible curse could be really interesting if played out in game. But then, that would have happened before this story came out. This just adds a new flavour to the timeline.

BTW, the chapters aren't finished so there's nothing to "release"--that is, we aren't purposefully holding chapters back. We generally release them when I finish writing them. (However, we did end up holding back the Loboshi chapter for about a month.) Though the story is mostly in my mind and notes, it continues to evolve during the writing process. Also, it is a slow process (for me) because I need to have the time to set aside to write (which is always an issue!), as well as the creative impulse. Slowly but surely, the Elder Wars will get finished eventually!
