Also explains why Klangratch would not let his dwarves be raised as undead
and WHOA. Orclamar is awesome. He fought all the soulless at once And Zenos is pretty cool villian too. It was so sad when he destroyed the forest! Esterra should write a book! (Like a real one, not neccesarily lusternia related)

I loved this chapter, it was awesome!
And I assume that Clangorum's brother, Agnomenon the Tinkerer spintered into the gnomes.
EDIT: Oh, and Clangorum being an artist was also awesome. Clangorum: The Art of War. It makes sense now why dwarves are so good with working metal and gemstones, rather than, to steal a quote, just because the do in other games (and fantasy in general).

I love the way these are turning out... I can't wait to see the next one! And many thanks to Estarra for fixing Shiri's copy & paste error.
And, although it's more than obvious that Loboshi really connected with Great Spirit Wolf, I don't see how the other variants of Loboshigaru (dog and jackal) came about.

The Canis genus includes wolves, coyotes, dingoes and jackals. And the Grey Wolf is the ancestor of the Domestic Dog. (yes, wikipedia ftw) Translated, Volkh may have had a thing for canines so he could have created the various different types OR wolf could encompass the different animals in the Canis genus
AND BOO, all of these questions and ponderances should be on Elos order aether not on the forums

The shall plague all my forum posts!

Same location, new name.
Like Gloriana and Glomdoring.
Like Gloriana and Glomdoring.
Except that there was no lava there before Dracnoris did his thing to it

Did people still get sunburnt when the sun was white?
Anyway, it just occured to me that one could use this story to fuel a 'sunlight is tainted, moonlight is pure' philosophy...
Not that I would, I like the moon cause I'm a Loboshigaru. Aroooo!!

Difference between Tainted and Soulless-infused.
Also, even if we assume the Sun is tainted, how does that make anything else any more or less tainted?

It doesn't, it just highlights the contrast.
It also sets up that Commune as being against all three of the other forests.

Didn't Dracnoris do his thing at the begining of the elder wars though? I thought I remeber there being lava in the first book.
I'll go find a quote
*edit* damn no quote.. Guess I just assumed that because of the name and the sleeping in the mountain thing.

That chapter is awesome! Nice one.
Nerra2008-03-11 19:20:13
Does anyone else feel really sad while reading these? Lusternia really is a downer
Aiakon has already argued pretty much beyond all reasonable doubt that everything is already tainted (pretty much)

Yeah, but if you buy that "reasoning", you could just as easily prove that everything is made of cheese. So?

You're applying RL knowledge to Lusternia. The domesticated (italicized for emphasis, not correction) dog only came about because of human intervention a loooong time ago. In Lusternia, there is no human intervention (I'll even be nice and say any intervention in general) - just the Elder Gods and the Great Nature spirits - so the concept of a domestic dog shouldn't even exist
