I don't think the healer comments on exactly what happened to her, so it could be that she's just barely clinging onto life in a completely mangled state, though probably not as bad as Thax.
My impression is just that she got transformed into the nasty little finks that we know and kill. And that she wasn't nasty like that before.

Huh. I never really considered the finks "nasty" per se, just a bit manky.

Their descriptions in Newton refer to how terrible they smell all the time.

Which could be living conditions (they're not very clean little things).

I was told that he is no longer identified as being in any circle, so it only says that he used to be Second Circle.
As for Finikora, I guess I added her too early and then never went back when the circle was revealed! I've fixed that. (Though you could do it too, this is for anyone to edit. That's the whole strength of a wiki, after all, and why a wiki is the best way to go for things like this. It's not mine, it's all of ours.)

Well, in the Basin now, there doesn't seem to quite a clear distinction between the circles now. I doubt Fain is still considered to be of the First Circle, or that Raezon is still of the Fifth Circle.
And as for Finikora, no one actually knows. We were pointing out that it was Thalrinda that was of the Fourth Circle. I even bolded it.
EDIT: I'd edit the wiki if I knew how to, but obviously I don't.

I think Raezon's still clearly of the Fifth. He's all about the pursuit of knowledge. It's just the way he goes about obtaining that knowledge which makes him different from, say, Xyl. And Fain's pretty leader-ish.

Hrm, now that I think of it, I think I understand why Morgfyre is in No Circle instead of Second. He has consumed so much essence, that he longer has his own identity, but is instead an amalgamation of all the identities of his consumed essence.
Still, I believe that depending on how you look at it, Morgfyre could easily be placed in Second Circle in the list, with footnotes to explain his current situation. I guess its because I've always viewed the list from the point of view of 'Before the Elder Wars', instead of current viewpoint. The Circles, after all, mean almost nothing in current Lusternia.

I'll have to respectfully disagree because, from what I've seen, the commune Divine are very much still into their Circles. Lisaera/Nocht still retain their close relations to their awakened spirits, Charune/Viravain are the same for their creations, and Maylea's still very much into her role as a member of the Fourth. Never having experienced the city Divine much personally, but I'd have to say that that statement of the Circles not playing quite a large part in current day Lusternia looks to be pretty false from the commune's perspective.
Shiri2009-02-02 07:32:50
The creators should make weirdass animals more often. I liked the quinotaurs. And a new collective spirit would be awesome too.

Perhaps I didn't explain myself. I didn't say that the Divine all altered their personalities and duties. What I meant was that the hierarchy of the Circles does not seem to exist anymore. There no longer seems to be any clear distinction between Circles.

Really? I've yet to see Maylea pop out an animal like the quinotaurs like Charune has or Nocht start painting the skies pretty shades of yellow, but that might just be me.

That's true too. I lost my train of thought, and now I can't remember my reasoning when I said this earlier. O_o

Ok... I found this waaaay to late, but it is amazing.
Just to be unlike others, I didn't like Malmydia quite that much. I liked her to the point where it still seemed she's all like... suffering means nothing as long as the final cause (greater good ) is achieved... then she went all nasty, not really my cup of tea. Could've just been a badass healer
If we asume that Finikora has something to do with finks, wouldn't it be safe to assume she's a from the Creators? I really don't see how the fact that she didn't splinter means she has nothing to do with finks or the reason that some people consider finks to be bad, means they where created by the remains of her twisted essence. Viravain created fleas, you wouldn't suggest that it makes Her a parasite, would you
As far as City Divine are concerned, Lady T <3 certainly still is a Goddess of the 2nd Circle. I can't say I find any 1st Circle characteristics in Eventru though, at least not from his public appearances, though maybe it's just my twisted perception of things and what a leader should be like.
Anyway, great book, great, great, great, liked reading it a lot! Thanks!

We aren't sure she didn't splinter yet, but finks are humanoid and have speech and stuff so I doubt they're created.

Mmmm... good point, sort of.
Then again, all thingies that have splintered from an Elder God are playable races. I don't see Fink being released as a playable race though

Your point being?
Centaubi was a Creator, so that's sort of logical and Agnomenon was a Thinker (which gives me a WTF moment as I would put him in Artists along with his brother).
Yay for speculations! *rally*
Let us carry on!
