1. Let us make custom letters.
2. Let us write in color in books.
3. Let us write at a table and chair instead of just at a damned desk. I know of one place right now that I can actually write things, and it's incredibly annoying.

There's a desk and chair in Deepnight.

Also, it'd be nice if perhaps Bookbinders got a skill so that they could write anywhere. Or maybe have it be an artifact quill or something? It'd be VERY handy, and I'm sure I'd get one.

Another wish of mine, that'll never happen, would be for a way to take notes during a meeting or something, without having to open up notepad or the zmud editor or semething. Basically, have a way for the in game editor to not to take you off to the archives while you're working. Not sure how it would work, exactly, but it to would be very nice to have.

Something like: "WRITE TOME PAGE 1 LINE 1: Record of Hartstone Meeting held on Ur-7-CE130"?

Oooh, a skill that lets you do SCRIBE WRITELINE IN (book) ON (page) AT (linenumber) (text)

Oooh, or a skill to scribe what someone dictates! So whenever someone says something, it writes it automatically into a book, so you could scribe stories and such as people tell them.
Sylphas2005-08-15 18:20:09
Yep. We are supposed to be scribes, right? It's a real pain to do that if you have to listen a bit, pop into the editor, listen a bit, pop into the editor...
Unknown2005-08-15 19:12:13
So it would be like logging into a book, just says only. Very nice idea!
Just like colored text in books.
Shiri2005-08-15 19:12:59
If that's even possible, it would be -awesome.-
Vix2005-08-15 19:22:13
In game logging? Fun!

Scribes are supposed to be loggers biggrin.gif
Olan2005-08-15 19:37:54
Yes, but you're also supposed to write them yourself, not have it magically done for you.
Sylphas2005-08-15 19:41:14
Ah, the power of copy/paste, how I love thee.

QUOTE(Bookbinding)
Illumination    Colorful texts brings your writing to life.
Scribing          Writing is so natural to you know that you can do it without thought.

QUOTE(Illumination)
AB BOOKBINDING ILLUMINATION
*color
You are trained in the use of color to emphasize and decorate your writings.

QUOTE(Scribing)
AB BOOKBINDING SCRIBING
SCRIBE
Having been well trained in the arts of the scribe, you may write without the intense concentration needed by others, and will still be able to pay attention to your surroundings.

You're kidding, they added two skills just like that?
Sylphas2005-08-15 23:20:15
No, I'm just trying to push for them better. If I knew Rapture, I'd email them the code and another cheer emote.

Also, can we not have it add the date to everything we write? Unless it's a journal or something, it's damned annoying.
Unknown2005-08-15 23:26:01
Just copy and paste what is said into notepad then into your book. It's simple!
Sylphas2005-08-15 23:32:29
Sylphas isn't going to memorize a conversation and copy it down later. I want to be able to sit around with a scroll out, jotting things down.
Shiri2005-08-16 11:28:28
Let us make blank books of various sizes. There would also be a function to "imprint" a blank book made this way so that it belongs to you or an org you are a part of and have authority in.

So they can be stocked and stuff, and I don't know why this isn't there already.

(Happy now Skyla? tongue.gif)

EDIT: 10001st post! Woo!
