This thread sounds amazingly like the Ladantine/Marilynth one, cept a tad worse... well, since it seems like just about everyone's biased, and unwilling to accept that the other side works hard as well. Lots of the arguments also seem to be...
A: It's not like this.
B: Is too.
A: Is not.
B: Is TOO.
A: Is NOT.
B: IS TOO, YOU NINCOMPOOP!
C: Everyone calm down, it's nap time. <---- me
A: IS NOT, DAMMIT!
B: IS TOO!!!!

I'm sure there is a perfectably reasonable explanation as to why everyone is ignoring the actual discussion that the thread started. Namely, the appearance of constantly changing rules based on the feelings of a small group of people.

That usually happens when everything there is to say has been said.

Your Ignorance is fine. I've only done that to go after Elryn while he was dreamweaving and killing those weaker within my commune... sorry, but it's not raiding Serenwilde when it's just to distract ONE person to stop his actual raid.

That was a brilliant strategy, by the way. It was only by luck each time that I survived.

Yes, creatures with no direct access short of a "GREAT JOURNEY" through three planar gates are going to skip merrily into Faethorn.

One like this, perhaps?

Note: This post is not a rant, but pointing out the facts, that this change was NOT in Serenwilde's favor.
This change significantly nerfed the amount of power Serenwilde gets each month.
We recieve 270 power now if we hold all the Fae each month.
Six IC months ago, we recieved 1120 power from returning Fae.
Five IC months ago, we recieved 680 power from returning Fae.
Four IC months ago, we recieved 1555 power from returning Fae.
I don't feel like doing more counting, as powerlogs are a pain, but yeah - that's an absurdly large reduction.
The change also removed the only way individuals could really bring in power in the Serenwilde. We can't link power to the Mother, except through Coning, which is very difficult to do, and isn't an act of an individual. Our pixies bring in trivial amounts of individual power now (2), and essence is worthless to us (1) since we were too busy fighting off raids during Vestian to gather sands. Essence is also not really a way for either of the communes to really get power, since they were intended for the cities, and the cities tend to be rather possessive about them.
Powerwise, it was nice having the Fae around to be returned, as it was an act that was easily recognizable, something anyone could do, and brought in significant individual power, so one could restore as much as one used. It was also nice, because it gave the bored ethereal watchers something to do.
But now that the Fae aren't there, it seems like the raids have stopped, except when distractions are needed by our enemies (like during influencing), so that's a massive plus. Is it worth 800-1300 power each game month to be able to actually PLAY Lusternia, and not sit on Ethereal all the time fighting or watching for raiders? Certainly, if you ask me. Did the chance HELP the Serenwilde? Heck no, our power income is barely positive now, since we were expecting that surge of power. We can no longer say, "Bring in as much as you use," since there's no way for US to bring it in, only for passive effects like villages and totems and the Flame.
EDIT: Bah, remind me not to post when it's 8am and I haven't slept yet. I just realized Faethorn is still neutral, so actually, the Fae bring in 540 power per month. Still much less than the 1,500 we could bring in when we really tried, but not nearly so big of a nerf. I'm going to go to sleep now and stop talking. Yes.

Boy is this ever a stupid thread, you're complaining that you want changes to be made after changes were made because you complained.
Either complain or shut up, don't complain about people not shutting up after you've complained and we've given you something to shut you up.
I'm not entirely sure that made any sense, but the thread is closed regardless. We will continue to try to make things in Faethorn balanced and happy.
