as far as i know all the supernals are indoors, so you can't cubix out of the rooms anyway, so ya. as for making all of celestia indoors that would be stupid, then it would make raiding it totally impossible unless you had a army to take out all the guards at the pool of stars, personally i think maybe a ripple like idea that stops people from being able to tesseract out or cubix out would be a good idea.

All Supernals except Raziela are out doors. Furthermore, the surrounding area around Raziela is all out doors. Compare this to Gorgulu who is surrounded by all closed doors (so it isn't as easy to move a room away, cubix away)

The Caves of Purulent Secretions.
Flows of execrable slime slip down the slopes from south and east to pool at
the rim of a cliff. The slime is a nauseating mix of greens, browns and
yellows, which combine with the creamy white discharge that oozes from the
surrounding walls. By the western wall is a large crevice, down which the
majority of this slime falls in great globs, to be followed by an echoing
splash as it hits the gathered liquids some distance below. There are 3 hideous
archdemons here. A malevolent demon prowls here.
You see exits leading east, south, and down.

The Den of a Thousand Abominations.
A triangle of darkened crystals slowly spins here, the hypnotic movement
creating flashes of black light. Gorgulu the Devourer of Souls is a swirling
pool of gurgling slime.
You see a single exit leading up.
He ain't. But it would be good if after you entered the pillar, you were indoors.

I kinda skimmed the previous few threads, but here's my idea: a cubix should not be able to take you to an area you are enemied to. Yes, there are ways to get around this, namely having someone else lead you there, or have someone else cubix in and act as a tesseract target, or whatever, but it would stop the problem of people spontaneously jumping in and out of places they're trying to raid.

You wouldn't have had a problem with it if this guy didn't whine his arse off for five pages. Notice that most of his posts overall come from this thread.

There's no point in fighters coming to defend against you, Marcalo.
You just cubix out.
You just cubix out.

On a similar note, since this thread is really about cubix raids, ALL of Faethorn is outdoors. A single roof *anywhere* in Faethorn would be so wonderful, I'd burst into tears... Does anyone think adding a single roof in Faethorn, perhaps in the queen's tree somwhere, would be unfair to cubix holders?

The changes to celestia seem like a better option,
however if a cubix ever was going to be changed and I doubt
it will. I suppose a possible change would to make the cubix
only workable at a nexus or a rift and it would still take you
to limbo and you still exit from the same places as before.
or you could just stick the supernals inside, i'm sure they'd
like a roof.

I'd say the cubix should never be changed, but if it is changed, it should either have a short time to activate, or require full health/mana/ego to activate.

Ok, I haven't played Imperian in a long time... but, I believe the artifact wings there first require you to fly and then you can poof away. This extra time makes them useful and a nice exit, but something that is far easier to stop than say the cubix.
Soll2005-08-19 12:33:11
But a cubix isn't wings, so y'can't fly. Best you could do is stick on a few seconds of restraint while you're getting sucked in, in which you can't do anything at all
Murphy2005-08-19 12:59:48
adhaea's wings activate at the saying of duanathar, and aren't stopped by all that much. There isn't nearly as much pissing and moaning, its just seen as, artiwhores have them, if you want them, become and artiwhore.
Revan2005-08-19 13:01:33
Achaea trumps Lusternia in the "overpowered artifacts" department. Web avoiding boots, wings, stat upgrades, etc. it's insane

Now your there again, So I must be a poster spammer to have influence?
Dont think so, Just cause I'm new to the forum's doesn't make the idea worthless.

In response to my telling Lisaera that "cubixes are overpowered":
They're artifacts, that's sort of the point.
Unknown2005-08-19 13:29:16
That doesn't mean you can't improve gameplay, I still think removing who list on Nil/Celestia would solve it, sure it might take you some seconds to track down the attacker, but when you hit him he wont see it coming, and therfor get the eye to eye conflict.. and have alot higher chance to pin him down..
And that doesn't touch the cubix artifact abit...

Murphy:
In Achaea, there are no villages or loyal plains to raid, only cities. The cities can purchase improvements which make wings not work within them. Thus the wings have no impact on raiding, which is the only problem here as regards the ease of hit-and-run tactics.

Ask her why the level 3 scepter is so utterly terrible then. In other places, it adds up to 35% damage instead of the mere 20% here.

How many stat buffs for INT are available in, say, Imperian, for a 16 int Sidhe, compared to a 18 int + knowledge blessing + dolphin buff + herofete (total 23, and I might be missing things) merian using staffcast?
