What if we removed it? I don't believe much would change, if anything.

Are you serious?
Richter2005-08-19 22:50:07
You think raiding of celestia or nil would come to a halt?
Narsrim2005-08-19 22:50:28
Ok, I have an idea that would fix the cubix and help with the hit/run.
The cubix was purchased by the owner for personal use. Thus, only the owner should be able to use the cubix; furthermore, the cubix should not allow the transportation of mass groups. It should only poof the person who owns it.

Well Richter, consider that the only time Celestia is raided is when someone waits for Marcalo, Kayde, etc. The answer is yes and given you do not participate in this, I really don't see where you could begin to state otherwise.

I wondered when someone was going to say, "You suck at fighting! You can't have an opinion! You know nothing about Lusternia as a whole!"
...or that's what it came off as.
You were just saying there were other ways to raid. And when I was raiding celestia (*gasp*) back when, we didn't use a cubix. I'm going to have to disagree that raiding there would come to a halt without the use of a 2000cr artifact.

Unless something else is added, maybe the attacks would halt alot, cause it gets defendable,
without these guerilla tactics, considering its the only way except of infiltrating or going through
the whole city with a invasion force... but like I said many times before.. Dont only do that, if
that would happend, but now we are all discussing a hypothesis..

The point is that without a cubix, the ability to raid at whim would be hindered. It would take more preperation and could be botched. It would be possible, but unlikely.
Is that so difficult to understand? Of course, it would not cease for the rest of eternity. It would just be somewhat more difficult and thus less likely.

This has nothing to do with you either, so I don't see why Richter can't bring his point of view.

I've botched more raids on Celestia than probably any Celestian. And you know what, I rarely if at all see you up there.

Anyone remember what the argument was here? Of -course- it would get raided less. I was saying raiding those places did not hinge on one artifact. You're actually agreeing with me.

What was your argument then Richter?, to me it sounded like your trying to figure out a way to get into celestia, without cubix, yes it would be possible but harder which would be the point of the whole thread to come up with a change
Richter2005-08-19 23:15:22
I forgot what my point was, other than the fact that we shouldn't nerf cubixes. I think we got that agreed on a few pages ago, and so if I stop posting, maybe everyone else will.
Unknown2005-08-19 23:17:22
Yes, we had that discussion with removing cubix, try avoid and bring it up again then?, think of improvements instead.
Richter2005-08-19 23:22:37
Thanks for the pointers.

I like the idea, However the annoyance wont go away and raiding will halt with whoever that doesn't have a cubix and or if they dont find someone that has tessarect..
Sounds well, I think you could post that under a artifact ideas thread cause I bet it gets overwhelmed here... Not that I think its out of topic, just that it would get mixed with other propersitions not reguarding artifacts..

I think cubixes are perfectly fine the way they are. Don't need to be changed at all.
Additionally, I think that a new artifact giving the ability to prevent insta-extraplanar escape might be valuable as a whole. That way, if you want to use a cubix to instantly escape combat you need to first get away from any defenders. Seems fairly easy and very reasonable to me. Doesn't change the usefulness of cubixes for instant transport one bit. (One idea here)

My opinions is that it wouldn't help the case, You have to rely that you have such a artifact in the city, and that citizen must be available to retaliate, and he must be online at that time..
Thats quite demanding, to just be able to stop a gurilla tactic.. anyway thats my thoughts,
which can still be used as fast as that person logs off, whoever got the anti cubix item

I'll say again, don't like the game? don't play it
whats that? you love the game? then suck it up, buy some credits and support the game, and learn to fight
edit: I'll also say again, why should anyone, anywhere at any time be able to invoke an ability that stops the use of a 2000cr item? (apart from curable afflictions)
Really, you people disgust me. If they have spent the money for 2k credits, then you should just suck it up and be happy they are supporting the game that is FREE FOR YOU TO PLAY.
the problem is the lack of celestian player fighter/defenders who are willing to learn to fight and buy the credits, NOT the people who have payed up and done the hard yards

Wow, by all the talk it sounds like you city folks almost never fight unless you can find those particular people. It's almost the opposite of Faethorn.
Now I have to ask, how much raiding SHOULD be happening up there? You guys are talking about how a raid should not happen (i.e no cubix) but realy, how SHOULD Celestia be successfuly raided (as opposed to the kinds of raids that are stopped by guards+Celest players)? Is it sensible that the only ways to raid is to either find a person Celest doesn't know about to sneak in or use a 2k artifact?
