I just read over about a year's worth of announces, and some helpfiles. I know that Aetolia isn't Lusternia, but I can still stomp and whine a bit, hrm? This is a general list of "they have it, so why isn't it like that here??".
1. Appoint is an investable power. *drool*
2. IDEAS shows all the ideas you've ever submitted (this included the ones from me playing a year or two ago!).
3. They have artifact tattoos (pretty much our enchantments, I'd love arti enchants).
4. They can UNTITLE themselves to remove any title.
5. There's a 15 credit purchase option
6. Planar wedges can increase your cache (rift).
7. They have vampires! (its a joke! *duck*)
From help housing:
8. Object feature: 50 credits each
- This can be anything from a portrait on the wall to a potted plant -
basically any inert object that is distinct from the room description
and can be examined more closely for additional detail. Such things
add character and flavor to rooms.
9. Library: 100 extra
- With your own library you may categorize and display as many books as
you wish.
10. Bar: 200 extra
- Means it will sell drinks. You do not get the proceeds, however.
11. Restaurant: 200 extra
- Means it will sell up to 5 existing types of food. You don't get the
proceeds.
12. Forge/Oven: 200 credits
- A forge, for those with the Forging skill.
OR
- An oven, for those with the Cooking skill.
Note that for the last few ideas, their credits ooc cost as much as ours do *whine*. It is a bit different IG, but not by -too- much.
I know the gods must roll their eyes at posts like this, but hey, I'm the idea (and this time, idea-stealing) man!

You can own a resturant or a bar?! If I didn't hear so many things about that game, I'd actually try it. Well, that and I'm too lazy to sit though another newbie island tour. Very nice ideas, though especially the housing and the extra planar.
Skyla2005-08-19 09:41:39
You can own a bar and such in your house which you can begin for around 150 credits (It's been a while so I could very well be wrong)
Lusternia housing is miles better, easier and more funerer! *peer Richter*
And no Vampires for Lusternia! Never! Heh, I actually loved the roleplay of the Voltaire House in the early days of Aetolia, their Codex was part of the inspriation for the Moondancer's Grimoire.

Umm, I bought credits a day and a half ago, I swear we had the 15 credit option.

Wow, I only had to pay 50,000 coins for the oven I had in my shop. (Probably still there in fact, though I have no idea who got that shop.)

I kinda like the bar idea, but that can really be done by another adventurer. Just set up reflexes so that he sits there, and whenever someone 'say to blahblah give me a whiskey blast' he automatically pours one, and hands it over! Party time!
Richter2005-08-19 15:42:31
...if he's carrying one. I personally don't carry food or alcohol on me. My tavern sucks without cool stuff in it (though I did get my barstools!), and forges are 40% of the cost of ours. $70 for a forge, instead of like, what, $150?
And appoint as an investable power. *drools again*

What's "appoint"?

Still think the ability to write and edit clanhelps is even more important as an investible property.
Richter2005-08-19 16:22:56
Oh, they're both very important. Sad we don't have any of them.
Murphy2005-08-20 00:56:32
no more asking for changes you lot!! the game is great how it is

What is great about the game is that it should never stop changing. It is dynamic and promises new things. The game should never be finished.
Acrune2005-08-20 02:52:53
We do have a 15 credit purchase option, although I personally think credits aren't worth $.66 each, and if you can't afford to spend $20 on credits, you probably shouldn't be buying them at all. And no arty enchantments please, that'd make me cry. Probably no bars or restaurants either, because that would reduce the need for chefs. Untitle would be nice, and help prevent people getting stuck with embarrassing titles that mischievous high ranking org members may have given you. The wedges thing would be nice, or perhaps have a skill in planar that makes the rift bigger.
Skyla2005-08-20 02:57:19
Ooh, actually I can think of something Aetolia has that I'd love to see in Lusternia...
I -think- that for around 100k you can have all posts deleted from a clan..
*hope*

bars and restraunts would be great if they had to be stocked
by a chef before hand and your menu was made up of the things
the cheff prepared, in the end it just becomes a store though

This is acceptable. However, they do notnotnotnotnot need to cost another 1000cr.
And appoint as an investable power!
Unknown2005-08-20 17:27:43
You want this game to be more like Aetolia?
Shame on you, Richter, go wash your mouth.
That said, Hajamin has looked over the ideas and is now coding refrigirators for manses. They allow you to store food in there, but when you store beer in there it will get too cold and it won't taste good anymore.

While your at it can I get a microwave too?
Estarra2005-08-20 18:36:36
Just ouf of curiosity, what's the difference between a bar/restaurant and a shop you own that you stock with food/drinks? You can even title your shop "Inn" or "Cafe" or "Bar".
Note also that in Lusternia all items are player crafted/created.
