Nice snippet of Serenguard policy going to referendum...

QUOTE
"To ensure the well being of all members of the Serenguard, members will
not drain an Astral node any further once it has reached its "motes"
state unless they have the permission of the Great Chieftain, High
Chief, or Protector of the People, or a Lodge Chief to do so for the
greater good of the guild or commune. Disregard of this policy can
result in punishment including power blocking, guilddisfavours,
restriction from credit sales, or if severe enough, outguilding, among
other things."

Are we the only organisation actually putting in written law on this? (Granted, we also have quite a few of the offenders, but that's not the point)
Unknown2005-08-21 17:14:42
I think you're the first organization to put it into law.
Unknown2005-08-21 17:23:41
It's not law yet, just a referendum. But I think it'll pass... soo...

Magnagora in its chelp file for astral nodes has a big thing saying DONT LINK next to the motes description, so no - you are not the first.
Malicia2005-08-21 17:52:10
Either way, it's a start.

Too bad it's not going to help anything.

And no one would dare disobey a chelp file.

It will likely work as planned, to stop Serenguard from overlinking. It's not really designed to do anything else.

I believe that counts as Treachery in Magnagora, punishable by multiple deaths and de-citizenship, maximum penalty.
So, no, I doubt they would.

Then Magnagora needs to stay of Celestia for 15 minutes and take a peek on astral.
Nayl2005-08-21 19:54:46
Note: Mag's not draining.
Unknown2005-08-21 20:18:57
Mag was draining for a while. Every city or commune was. As it turns out, Magnagora also had the least to lose. Fortunately they either aren't as ruthless or smart IC as they seem.
Unknown2005-08-21 22:00:15
It won't help because at least one of the people determined to keep the nodes dry has access to a cubix and gem of cloaking, which make their capture nigh impossible.

At least it might keep a couple of people who don't know any better from trying to link.
Ethelon2005-08-21 23:06:43
The four of us in Glomdoring able to reach Astral don't touch nodes at Motes or lower.

Yes, I know there "may" be more than four in glomdoring able to reach Astral... just haven't seen them yet.
Bau2005-08-22 04:34:53
I can go to Astral, if I weren't so lazy. I haven't the level or the inclination to, though.
