QUOTE(Hajamin @ Aug 25 2005, 11:57 AM)
Marcalo is NOT in My Order.  Kharvik did jump up pretty fast, perhaps he was hit by it(and didn't notice).    It's not limited to just one person, and will be fixed in time.

No way. I made sure I got 10% every day at level 98 then stopped by bashing a ridiculus amount of hours each day. Not to mention I think I already hit Titan when this "bug" occurred.
Thorgal2005-08-25 17:19:18
You've no blame in it Narsrim, no one is to blame.. people aren't screaming foul at you, it was a bug and not an exploit. It just wouldn't be fair for everyone else, especially since I can't see anything that'd prevent rectifying it.
Gregori2005-08-25 17:19:49
I don't think anyone is saying you did anything wrong. They are crying foul because at the higher levels it is alot harder to go up, and being given 2 - 3 levels even due to a bug seems highly unfair. More so than 100 neocredits which most people have probably thrown away more than 100 credits on skill changes and guild changes in their time playing, so really make not much difference.
Narsrim2005-08-25 17:27:44
Thorgal asked me on DoK earlier what I was going to do about the free levels. I took that as an implication that I'm supposed to either kill myself until the experience is gone or scream at the administration to remove them before they have even identified the source of the problem.

As I have said, I expect Estarra will make a fair decision, and regardless of what that decision is, I will be content. However, I'm tired of people running off at the mouth that either

1. I did this intentionally and I'm trying to cover it up

2. This was some grand conspiracy between Hajamin and His Order.

Whereas this thread isn't as bad as it could be, the moaning and bitching I have to hear extends beyond forums by some of the same people. It erks me.

----------

On a side note, 100 neocredits = 600 lessons. I along with several others consider that something worthwhile. Whereas it may not be as "excessive" as three levels, people do pay real money a lot of the time for 600 lessons.

Edit: Interesting that both Ekard and Narsrim are both in Hajamin's order

If you want to accuse someone of something, do it outright, and make sure you know what you're doing because life can be very difficult for people that say stupid things.

Let's not even mention that since we've been looking into what caused it that it would have been pretty obvious if Hajamin had just decided to up them, or that he's not stupid enough to do so. Give your conspiracy theories a rest, we're not out to screw you.

That'd be utterly rediculous, I just heard on IRC that you were given the choice to keep them or lose them (?), don't know if that's true, but that's what I implied. You've no blame, heartstopping would be retarded.

Well, ask then instead of assuming. After reporting this, I have received no notification from the administration as to what the end result will be. I imagine the decision is pending until they can figure out what the bug is and how to fix it.

Amended the earlier post with a second edit.

The intent of pointing out that both are in Hajamin's order was to explain where the bug came from so that whoever is checking into might have somewhere to begin looking. I re-read that and it did indeed sound like I was claiming a conspiracy, but such is simply ludicrous.

To be quite honest, I don't believe Lisaera or any other member of the administration needs your helping point out the obvious if that was your "true" intent.

Excuse me for being helpful. What was it, 30 man-hours to investigate the gold bug? To be honest, bugs aren't always that obvious. Usually when the admin come to me about bugs I report it's a game of twenty questions to understand what happened.

Ekard and I are fully capable of reporting the bug as we did without your assistance. It was made known that the two of us were in Hajamin's Order. In fact, Hajamin is one of the people who has posted in this thread to indicate that it is being looked into so I imagine this tidbit did not slip past him.

The tone of your post was rude. There was some implication that it was a conspiracy. If you do not believe me, look at Kharvik's post that follows as he was drawing upon your implications. I'm glad you have changed the wording to where it is not the case at the moment, however, your attempt to go from hypercritical to "trying to help out" is as shallow as they come.

Forgive me for being defensive, I'm very tired of people treating me as if I did something wrong and that the world will come to end because of this.

No words were changed.

I think that's enough on this line, however Ixion intended his original comment it is done now and doesn't need to be argued about.

100cr is nothing compared to weeks of your life. This is your life, and it's ending one second at a time.

I perosonally would exchange this 2 extra levels for 100cr. tongue.gif
Corr2005-08-25 18:31:16
Didn't the 100Cr go to everybody for being the first players in the game? Thats really not comparable to a bug that affects 3 people with masive xp increase.

No, it was completely random and maybe half of the original players got it.
Ekard2005-08-25 18:33:47
This 100cr on very begin was bug and when divines noticed it was cut off.

I was to slow and didnt make to get this free 100 neocredits. sad.gif

I think you mean about 75cr that was gived to all characters that were created before ending beta.

No. There was a misweave where certain people just magically gained 100 neocredits during the first hours of Lusternia. I joined right after a friend who received them (like 10 minutes too late). It was posted on announce during open beta that this was a bug, however, the people who gained the credits could keep them.
Thorgal2005-08-25 18:37:39
I guess it's just jealousy, to see the already most powerful player of the game, now that Amaru lost his champion Handmaiden and Narsrim has Patchou, gain such massive amounts of experience for free.
