Does anyone know anything about the Midkemia MUD IRE is building right now? I only ever found the press release when they announced the project but never heard anything about it ever since

Surely there must be some place that knows more?

It will probably be all we hear for another year or so. I can't imagine these things are built over night. Hajamin, go code for them. Help them pump out skillsets like catholics do babies.

The Feist mud was tabled indefinitely.

It's based on a book right? There should be a website on it (I've seen it), and you can read the history and stuff and whatnot. Hope that helps!

I have Magician sitting next to my bed at the moment, and the rest of the first five books downstairs. And the Feist/Wurts books, too, though someone borrowed the first one and never gave it back....

I wouldn't believe a new IRE game was coming out, unless word of it came from directly from Matt himself.

Finished the new Conclave of Shadows book last night. Feist is wondrous. Make the MUD!!!

I remember when I first read the post about it on the IRE website. It's gonna happen. One day. Maybe. He said it would! Just... it's kinda on hold for an inestimable amount of time at present.

Estarra made a news post over it. I believe they were looking for large donations (10k+), to get it started.

I wonder why it got tabled? Producer quit? Not enough $?

Is this the MUD that Head of SoI (I think he goes by the name Thraithe) was hired to do? If it is and he was the producer, I think he left to do something he own Pay-to-play that's unrelated to IRE.

Traithe is still coding for SoI, actually. Unless someone took over and is just using Traithe's name, that is.

Makes me wonder how much they spent on rights to the Feist MUD anyway. If they're abandoning the project I hope it wasn't much.

They could save the rights until a later point (I don't know why exactly IRE crushed the project), or resell them.
