When I click the volume button in the taskbar (windows 2000), I can't change the volume or the balance. Well, I can, but when I close the window (every way possible has been tried) it resets back to what it was. Normally, I would just change the volume on my speakers, but for some reason, the balance (left right) is shifted all the way to the left, and its driving me insane.

Someone help me, please please please please please before i kill myself. I can't bear music from just one side, it misses like half of the song.

Hmm the only times when that happens to me is when I have some software open that has its own volume control, like a mediaplayer, and that keeps overriding the volume setting made at the taskbar thingie... maybe that's what messes you up?

thats what my dad said... but i don't have anthing that should do that. And I haven't installed anything since last time I was home, a few days ago, when it worked....
