Ok besides the fact that one uses two swords and the other uses a two handed whats the diffrence when talking about damage.Like is one better for more burst type damage than the other or do they both do about the same? and what are the diffrences in the style of fighting between the two?

Overall, the raw damage they deal is the same. Or it is supposed to be, at least.
In theory, the pureblade's main difference over a blademaster is that it is meant to deal out far fewer afflictions (half as many), but the ones it does land are far more grievous. While a Blademaster's main concern is causing massive bleeding or managing to behead their foe, Pureblades can hack off entire limbs, which are very difficult to restore. Sadly they are also very hard to hack off. Pureblades also have an excellent trans skill that is an instant, unblockable kill if your opponenet doesn't get the hell out of your way.

so which one is more combat viable or are the both good in pvp
Shiri2005-08-23 03:39:39
The two einhander specialisations seem to be better than pureblade and axelord right now. Blademasters can easily rack up insane damage, and bonecrushers have all kinds of nasties going for them.
Unknown2005-08-23 03:43:06
Aye, both pureblade and axelord still need tweaking, as they're very new compared to the other knighthood skills.

May need tweaking, but apparently axes need some downplay in my opinion. I recall a little while ago when I was some 10 levels lower and a player 11 levels beneath me slaughtered me in a sparring match. He had an axe with barely Master capabilities and I had Blademaster at Virtuoso. But I had been foolish enough to neglect other abilities such as Wounds and Puer. Kinda half and half, but still, axes cause major damage. I don't mind, really. Just thought I should put that out there.

Well I was thinking of making a pureblade ebonguard with night as the 3rd skillset have no expirence fighting in this IRE game and on this client so I would just start from scratch and hope for the best

And Bonecrushers don't have insane damage?
One word: Murphy.
Murphy2005-08-23 05:46:15
Roar!
I don't have insane damage anymore, only 1.2k a combo rather than my previous 1.8k - 2k a combo, however is an expense i took to allowmyself insane deepwounds.

You'll find that levels mean, well bugger all in this game. I could kill just as efficiently if i were level 49 instead of level 79, like you said you missed out your wounds. A level 30 player will beat a lvl 98 player if one of the has a system and a good offence, and the other doesn't even have cures.
Icarus2005-08-23 05:51:46
Any warrior specialisation can do insane damage. It all depends on strength, weapon stats and runes. However, with all things equal (damage, speed, wounds etc) blademasters and bonecrushers are considerably better than pureblades and axelords because they can pull off up to 4 afflictions per round, versus 2 from pureblades or axelords. And blademaster is easily the best specialisation right now because of the crippling wound afflictions on all bodryparts and rend.

I meant to put a "bleeding" in there, but didn't. The point is that bleeding isn't reduced by armour, or anything, and it's really hard to cure it all.
Unknown2005-08-23 06:50:24
So I should go blademaster is that ok as a lobishagura (sorry I know i spelled it wrong) Was just thinking about going pureblade because the idea of cutting a limb clean off is cool
edit.. oh and how would you compare the night/crow skillset to necromancy or any other 3rd skillset of a warrior guild

It all depends on whether you can trans or not, Crow and Night for example are worthless unless you've transed them, and even then... Moon and sacraments are the most powerful tertiary warrior skillsets at the moment, followed by necromancy, stag, night and crow.

Crow was the second skill I transed, when it was brand new.
Yeah. I learned not to get skills when nobody knows what they are yet.
