So that's seven rounds, at 17 int. Average time of ~3 seconds per strike, so that's 21 seconds of shooting, 3-5 seconds of fiddling with its shield. ~25 seconds. Notice, though, that it can also deal 1/2 my health in one strike. That's why we kill faster.

If damage really is scaled, it'd take me 9-10 hits with 17 intelligence.

No, not really. It depends on how it is scaled.

Ouch this mugwump susceptible to fire is nasty. To merian this attack is doing around 1300 damage.

Simply crazy. I suppose it makes up for our tankiness, but it's still nuts. Take garshades for example, Pretty much any mage and other class can kill one with a normal hit and then an oblit critical. It takes me THREE oblits to kill one. (Garshades are those nasty life draining buggers). Pah.
