Why aren't you coding? Or drinking a cold one for all your hard work?

Since 10 people agree that we should have more non skill events after the Druid skill, I don't need to respond to you, ErionÂ
173652
10 people? That's it? Hehehehehehe.
Unknown2005-08-27 02:54:42
8 more then 2, do we have to go into this?

As I said, Estarra and the Lusty Crew (I love it! LOVE IT!) are still bringing Lusternia up to it's predestined form.
173649
Aye. I'm sure that the staff has some sort of at least vague, tentative timeline set up for the next year(s) or more. What sort of skills are going to be released, what major features, what new organizations, ect. I predict we'll start seeing more abstract events and such once Lusternia has reached a more 'fully developed' state.
Unknown2005-08-27 02:56:44
You don't think the question is just a tad biased?
Perhaps you should try asking, Which would you prefer: more skillsets to choose from with associated events, or more non-skill events.
I voted for more non-skill events. But I also want more skill-revealing events.

Agreed, Guido.
Lisaera2005-08-27 02:57:30
We've already had plenty of abstract events. Taking the entire state of the plot over a 2 month time period is kind of stupid (and I doubt it was a full two months anyway).
I'm deliberately neglecting to mention the fact that the histories are being gradually released right now through mini-events.

<3 You know you love us, Lisaera.
Unknown2005-08-27 03:01:01
And what's more "abstract" than Viravain going coo-coo and nearly torn in half by Estarra, as Kethuru tries to eat the world through Viravain's tiny, tiny belly

Two month plot? What was that? The only thing that comes to mind is Kethuru, but I thought that has been planned way in advance.
Or maybe I'm just having a brain fart.

I based this poll over a two month period and looked at two months in each Ire Mud.

God Lisaera's such a leet
Gwylifar2005-08-27 03:05:09
I don't think it's a criticism to note that so many of the game's events have been directly linked to the release of either a skill or an area, in fact almost all of them. But it might be interesting to see an event that wasn't. It's just that there's only so much development resources available and if they're working on areas and skills (both of which the game needs) then that's where the event building would be.
I wouldn't want to be a builder or ephemeral or anything like that. But the closest thing to a temptation would be if they wanted someone to develop just those kinds of events that aren't linked to new stuff releases. That would be fun to do.

You mean the entire 'omg Kethuru! Gl0mdoring is back!' series of events was... unintended? A deviation from what had been planned? Or am I going senile? Someone get Stangmar over here, I need some comfort in my old age.

Glomdoring was not intended so early, and from what I understand, a lot of it was somewhat spur of the moment. But I was reading Lisaera's post wrong, it seems.

Cool, maybe all our ramshackle clans and annoying shouts actually did influence things, although I'd hate to think that the staff messed up their originally intended timeline for little old Glom.

Heh. OUR ramshackle clans didn't do a whole lot, it would seem. I've been told that when I'd gone back to Rowena after you'ld left, no one knew wtf I was talking about from previous conversations (and it seriously looked like it, too. Admin playing along, trying to figure out wtf we were told). Which leads me to believe Auseklis or someone was having fun with us.
But, I'd like to think, between Visaeris, you, and myself, we raised Glomdoring. Hey, do you remember when we rode into that lightning storm on Crow's back to save Viravain from when Lacostian was possessed by Kethuru?

Heh, you mean all that excitement I was feeling when Rowena first told me the Night Coven had to be raised was for nothing? Poo.
I still demand that they erect a statue of Guido on the bridge, though.
"In memory of Guido Flagg. He was a crazy asshole, and didn't actually do a lot to help us, but we want him to stop haunting the Black Tower. R.I.P."

I totally want one of Erion. Except he still lurks the caves on occasion, talking to Etanru and bugging Rowena.
