Funny how not a single one of us 'important' Glomdoring folks made it too far.

Guido, dead.
Visaeris, gone.
Richter, GA, now nothing.
Yukari, GM, now nothing.
Yuniko, Champion, now nothing.
Erion, nothing.

Visaeris, TRAITOR. tongue.gif Not just gone.

And, for the record, since some people seem to forget this - the Summer Court played an important part, too. Moralis was the Court jester, for instance.

Heh. And, Jasper is the only remaining original Night Coven member left that's really active in Glomdoring, AND he's still GA. tongue.gif

Moralis wasn't in the Summer Court. He got brought in by Viravain only after the Court split while Glomdoring was forming, after the Nature seal was broken.

Actually, Moralis came in before the Seal was broken while Viravain was still in her bubbly stage. It was during the Kethuru thing that he was drawn into Glomdoring as that is where his Goddess went. However, he never was invited into the Court nor the Coven.

Don't remember if I posted on this thread before or not, but a thought just occured to me regarding the initial question. So I decided to share it with you all. Personally I really like how often and swiftly the adminstration respond to player concerns, if they are legitimate. And I have liked most of the events that happened in the game, except one that will remain nameless for now. But one of the problems with the events has been that for the most part there has been little to no followthrough, and the outcomes were already set from the beginning.

To show a example, the League of Weapon Masters who taught us Pureblade and Axelord. They did their thing, sat in the guildhalls for a few months, and then vanished without a word. Don't know what happened to the Lucidian sisters who taught Astrology either, none of them really became a part of the world of Lusternia once they served their purpose. And I think that's regrettable.

No idea what happened to that there league of yours, but our astrologer lucidians sit by our astrolabes. Adushoc Whats'her~name lives quite happily in Moon Spire to this day. I know what you mean, though.

Perhaps I'm off track here but I'd like to see
Foozle, Egghunts type of events
Ekard2005-09-01 07:03:23
Yea, egghunt!

And i love skills events, its realy cool, like with psioncs skill, i was on my aquamancer alt when bum! i have stupidity out of nothing, i eated all my pennyroyals before i get to city, heh.

It's much more cool then just see annonuce from Estarra "Ok, today Aquamancers and Gemonacers can take psionics as secondary skill."

So if Estarra wants to realease all those skill that she planned then its ok, make those events, but if coders want a break and skills can wait, then finish Druids skill with another cool skill event. And after this make few minor events.

Aye. I'm sure that the staff has some sort of at least vague, tentative timeline set up for the next year(s) or more. What sort of skills are going to be released, what major features, what new organizations, ect. I predict we'll start seeing more abstract events and such once Lusternia has reached a more 'fully developed' state.

And right in the middle somewhere they've probably got "Roark goes crazy.". He perches atop Avechna, hurling zap bolts and random people while scratching himself and hooting like a simian.

I had my first text dream last night. So shoot me.
Unknown2005-09-02 02:46:32
I'd just like to point out that we have small abstract events going on all the time. Viravain is one of the most amazing admin I've come across for that, every interaction is hugely RP-weighted and she is absolutely incredible at making and running on-the-fly little events. I have heard Lisaera is quite the same.

For instance, all Elryn's little irritations culminating in the most fantastic conclusion have all been conducted as beautifully orchestrated miniature events.

If there's not a mechanics-based outcome (ie, new skill, new area), maybe all that is needed for more abstract events are players starting them up?
Ashteru2005-09-02 02:58:10
And I thought you WERE the new skill event. Bad Elryn!

I know, we're all so highly strung about this new skill coming out. Hell, even I was hoping for a moment. tongue.gif

But yeah, I bet there wouldn't have been -quite- as much interest if it weren't for the possibility of a new skill.
Shiri2005-09-02 03:07:49
Yeah, I got a few IMs after that going "wait, crap, that wasn't just some random Elryn RP was it?" tongue.gif

Legions of crazy treehuggers. I don't think you want to face the squirrelly hordes if it's not. unsure.gif
Unknown2005-09-02 03:21:46
Who says? ...all the druids, running around the Serenwilde, wielding pitchforks instead of cudgels and making their little neighborly Moondancers like me all fearful. help.gif

Edit:Oh see! I was right, look at them they're right up there ^
