Anyone here made any AMVs, or just loves to collect them?
since my last fatal computer problem (it's like my own little calender thingy) i've been forced back to my old collection of FF VIII/X, Fruits Basket and CCS. I want to grab some ffx or ffix clips, anyone know where i could get them?
and...
Anyone seen the Macarena one.

If you are a fan of anime and monty python, then you honestly cannot look past the Asuka and the Black Knight AMV. It is still one of my favourites and one of the few actual GOOD AMV's out there.

I have 14.8 gigs of AMVs on my computer - about 300 of them. All downloaded from www.animemusicvideos.org, just about all of them from the top 10% list there.
My favourites are probably "Euphoria," by Koop, "Sappy Self Indulgence," by Kusoyaro, "Whisper of the Beast," by Scorpions ULTD, "This Is Your Life," by RK, "Lost Soul," by Inverse, "Hale's Mom," by K-type, and "I Wish I Was A Lesbian," by Absolute Destiny.
Some other really good ones are "The Excel Pop Up Video," by Kurt, "Tainted Donuts," by E-Ko, "Odorikuruu," by AOKakesu Digital, "Waiting For You," by DWChang, "I Just Can't Wait To Be King," also by DWChang, "Engel," by Kevin Caldwell, "Football," by Suberunker Studios (yes, the amazingly awesome video put to that techno Strongbad e-mail), "Phenomenon," by Premonition Studios, "Former Glory," by NHMK, and "This is DBZ Life," by Scott Mezler
Oh, and how could I forget, "A Total Waste of Six Minutes and Thirty Five Seconds," by XStylus, the AMV which parodies bad AMVs by being one (Absolutely hilarious, if you've seen a lot of bad AMVs, especially if you've seen a lot of bad LAIN amvs.)

Saran2005-09-06 13:30:24

My favourite AMV is Euphoria, found here.
Probably the only one I really like cos I don't actively seek them out, but I love RahXephon.
Edit: Heh, didn't even read Shorlen's list. Whoo!

Sorry to necro this thread, but I just saw In My Mind, by Sierra Lorna of Premonition Studios, and it was just... so awesomely beautiful, I had to point it out to any AMV fans who might happen to be here
Sierra Lorna's videos have been so amazing so far - can't wait to see what else she'll do She's surpassed Vic Bond (author of Shining Collection ) as my favorite AMV creator, though I'm actually more interested in what Scorpions (author of Whisper of the Beast) will do next
I love AMVs too much - I now have 15 gigs of them on my computer (308 videos)

Oh right, that site...the one that requires membership. Meh, I'll never watch it then. Maybe a friend of mine might be interested...
I still need to finish One Piece (subbed) and Bleach anyway. Oh yeah, and watch Air at some point.
...this could take a while...

Loathe to add more spam to my business account. That, and I hate signing up for things, as they ask information I'd rather not give.
Finally, AMV's are a very minor interest for me, and not one I usually give any notice. Last one I watched was Football by Suberunker Studios. Well worth it too, I loved that one. Aside from that, I've seen one or two other ones that were really well done. One of them was Trigun set to a KidRock song or something, I forget. Excellent lip synching in that one.

Sorry to necro this thread... again...
But i've got to add some more "Right now someone is reading this title" love it, it even has a reference to Joli in it. (well kinda)
Final Fantasy 9 "Goreki" though it's mainly the song.
but seriously if your an anime fan you should see Right now

Now that's an OLD classic, up there with Odorikuruu.
If you like amusing AMVs, I highly recommend "Hale's Mom," "The Purpose of Personocoms" (put to the song "The Internet is for Porn" from the play Avenue Q ), and "Football!" (put to the Strongbad techno song )
If you want to see a very good Final Fantasy AMV, I really recommend "Ignited Solitude" by Sierra Lorna.

When i saw "Right now bunny girls rule" immediately i though "hehe, joli"
