Never played Warcraft, sorry...

Far more Morrowind than Warcraft.
Can you use these bound souls to enhance weaponry and armour?

I thought it was lifted from Dragonlance: Legends hence the Fistandauntilus comment.

Magic Jar!! Hurray for D&D
Unknown2005-08-31 19:41:23
Being trapped in a box for an hour because someone felt like tossing a 'Soul Trap' at you while in dream form sounds very... unfun. A griefer's best friend.
Unknown2005-08-31 23:27:17
Magic Jar? Frack no. Trap the Soul. Puts a creature into a gem until the spell expires or the gem is broken.
I think that if something like this is implemented, it should just steal a fraction of the soul for the next hour. It should have the following requirements:
The gem is only available through a jeweler at a comm cost of 100 of a specific type of gem. An enchanter must enchant it for a specific person before it will work.
To activate, the victim will need to A) enter the room as a soul/ghost/dreambody B) be in the same room as the gem holder at 1/4 mana when the holder uses RUB GEM or C) Pick up the gem.
It should have the following effects:
Death as soon as the gem activates with the body destroyed. After praying, the victim will be reminded that part of his soul is imprisoned.
Experience gain would be split as if the holder of the gem was following the victim while he was bashing, gaining shared exp.
Gem holder can SQUEEZE GEM to deal damage to the victim.
Gem holder can LOOK THROUGH GEM to do a QL where the victim is. Victim is notified.
Gem holder can SMASH GEM. Deals damage equal to a quarter of the victim's health, but destroys the gem.
If the victim ever gains hold of the gem, he can EAT GEM to put his soul back together.

Constant Effect - Sanctuary.
Steal Daevos, Ixion and Murphy's souls and enchant my entire set of armour, clothes and weapons with it. I'll never be hit again.

No, definitely Morrowind. I can still remember my neat robes-of-never-get-below-max-health.

Oh come on.. Wiccans are SO Pokemon trainers.
Shiri2005-09-01 02:13:22
No, no, the Nihilists are. We get to have like 12 out at a time and they all only have one attack.
Unknown2005-09-01 02:20:59
Just no. I bet even you don't believe that.
It's wiccans that are Lusternia's big joke. Brooms, toadcurse and kissing stuff, and a bunch of pokemons.

Imagine if instead of soultraping players, you could trap an entity, then summon it like a genie.
Soultrap Crone
---> Crone sucked into gem
Soulsummon Crone
---> Crone is released and serves the gem wielder.

Hey, wait, wait wait. -We- don't kiss anything. It's you guys that end up kissing your allies after we've turned them into toads.
Definitely Nihilists.
Jack2005-09-01 03:20:21
Nah. All ent classes are pokemon nerds.
It's just Nihilists have far cooler ones.
