Moondancers are, in fact, pure evil. Ignore them or they'll eat your soul. Join the Nihilists. God, please join the Nihilists. We have no novices! Well, we have one.

I was gonna. But the Nihilists seem more or less like the Occultists back in Achaea. And that's what I play as there. So I wanted a little change. And the Moondancers seem to have alot of potential. And I'm in love with the Wolf Totem. I get that it's not all that, but I've never seen anything like it and I hate fear. heh.
So Healing is the same as in the other IRE games that have it.
Hexes are like curses that you have to set up/draw first?
Evern though everyone's said that Astrology is too complicated and whatnot, I've started to lean towards it. Just because it is complicated to pull off or whatever.
On a unrelated note, is there any RP in Lusternia. The main reason I have for wanting to leave Achaea is cause there is none there. I was walking arround exploring the other day and introduced myself to some people and every single one went something like "Yes I know what your name is. I can see it when you talk." or some variation of it.
Thanks for all your input people. Keep it comin'.

Healing is similar to other IRE games, but diagnose still takes equilibrium, the afflictions are targetted in groups rather than instantaneously, they cost 100-250 some mana, and bedevil only transmits like half the afflictions. No shields or anything either, just bedevil, curing, succor and farheal/cure.
Hexes are indeed like that, with a couple of variations - if you draw 6 up first, you can fire them off like swiftcurse. You can also do them invisibly at a power cost.
Yes, there is lots of RP in Lusternia.

umm, i thought this too when i first joined. moondancers are more like occultists with the multiple ents
nihilists are a good spin of apostates, your demon is more pivotal in your offence, and youc an choose what afflictions it gives.

Oh, you might have a problem with the name thing, though. Everyone's name is written on their aetherstrands, which everyone can see. That's how teleportation and things work, too.

I know how names work. I realise that I see everyones names on QL/L/WHO HERE/CT/GT/CWHO/GWHO/QW/WHO or whatever. I just think it's bad RP for me to just know who everyone is.
So if I'm walking arround and I stop in a room with someone there. Let's call him Bob. Me and Bob get to talking.. Offcourse I'm going to introduce myself. Just like I would in reality. I just think it's more fun like that. No biggie.
Oh and I read somewhere that you can somehow make Hexes hit them as soon as they enter the room you drew them in or something. How does this work?
Shiri2005-08-31 10:59:31
Well, go ahead, but I wouldn't expect people to react any different, when they -can- see your name because it's written on an aether string.
As for the hexes thing: the last hex on the "stack" (when you draw 6, the 6th one you draw is nearest the enemy, so to speak) (I -think-) explodes in a target's face as they walk into the room. This sort of thing is actually a disadvantage, though, unless you want to lay paralysis traps around to notify you and give you 1-4 seconds (depending on their discipline skill) of warning.

Nihilists? No. Domination is nothing; we make pacts to get abilities to invest into our archdemon. It fires off an affliction with one of five messages, depending on what is invested.
Unknown2005-08-31 11:16:35
I'm loving some of the replyes. Maybe I should stress the fact that I'm totally new and alot of the things you have here don't exist in Achaea. The curing/afflictions/most skills work in ways that I have never seen before. So please when tell me more when saying something. I know this is how I would reply if someone asked me something about Achaea aswell. So I'm just trying to make you think twice about how you explain. Thanks.
Yrael2005-08-31 11:21:03
An archdemon is the highest demon summonable in Nihilism, you can invest 7 powers into it. Depending on the Demon Lord who the power comes from, after making a pact (which costs 10 power, and can often kill you if it's a Demon Lord, the Supernals love you.) a different message is shown. Heh.
Edit: A different message for whichever affliction is given via the archdemon.

To clarify what I mentioned, paralysis here is cured by FOCUS BODY, which has a time delay on it and costs 250 mana, as opposed to bloodroot or maidenhair, so if a paralysis hex explodes on a victim, you have a short time frame to begin your attack before they can get away. Useful in team combat, especially if you do something like trigger shieldstun to the hex explodey message and have the rest of your team wail on them.
Yrael2005-08-31 11:29:54
That, or you just sit there with pentagram up (Like a shield tattoo) wait for the hex to explode and begin making squishies.
Unknown2005-08-31 11:43:35
So you have to have skills to cure some things? Not everything is curable by herbs/salves/elixirs? And skills are just there to help?
Like you can cure stupidity with goldenseal and focus? So if you are dizzy and stupid you can eat goldenseal and focus at the same time and get rid of both?

Yrael2005-08-31 11:48:30
You can eat our equivalent herb, yes, but that escapes me right now. Focus mind is invisible, taking a bit of mana. But skills are just there to help. If I were to doublewhammy you with impatience/anorexia and asthma/paralyse, you'd be locked unless you had the syphon power in Nihilism, something that passively cures your afflictions or focus mind to remove one of the mental ailments. You'd then have to wait until focus mind got its own balance back, but could cure on your own again while it does. It's not essential, just very useful. Everything IS cured by salves/elixirs/herbies. We've even got one called "allheale" that cures almost any affliction and is on it's own, very long, balance. Heh.
Shiri2005-08-31 11:50:17
We have focus (it's called focus mind. Fabled skill.) But we have focus body, too, and focus spirit, which is a real specialty cure. Fbody cures paralysis, and locked legs and throats (induced by telekineticists, the former preventing movement and the latter acting as a sort of anorexia effect.) Fspirit, which takes 1/4 of your max mana instead of 50, cures omen (a damage increasing effect from Necromancers), treebane (an obnoxious effect from druids that breaks limbs passively if people are in the trees), and punctured aura, which is also a herb cure (albeit delayed.)
Everything else is herb cured (note that smoked pipes share a balance with eaten herbs, but are blocked by asthma etc.), purgative cured, or salve cured.
EDIT: Allheale = treetattoo, but blocked by anorexia rather than paralysis.

Wouldn't I have time to eat/apply/smoke/drink or whatever is needed to cure impatience/anorexia before you get balance/equilibriom back to hit me with asthma/paralyse?
Yrael2005-08-31 11:52:40
Depends. If I draw them in advance, with my equilibrium, I *should* get them off just in time. By that I mean web you, draw all four hexes and smack you. Or do them anorexia/asthma, impatience/paralyse and repeat both combos just incase. Heh.

I read some log here somewhere. It seems like you can't apply salves and stuff while webbed/entangled/bound/roped. This true?

You can't apply salves while crucified right? It's a kind of entanglement.
