I like too much.
No rap/hiphop/new punk/pop.
Most everything else goes, though.

I also listen to the bands that's been highlighted. I also like The Killers, Aerosmith, couple Greenday songs, Ben Folds Five and various Japanese bands. (Not the anime stuff.)
EDIT: Rob Thomas too.

Franz Ferdinand are bringing out a new album in October, y'know?

Hmm, compacting down my favourite bands might be quite hard, so a few quickly off the top of my head: Bad Religion, Raised Fist, Strike Anywhere, Leftover Crack, The Bleeders, The Distillers, Minor Threat, Pennywise, Tiger Army and Dillinger Four. Basically, lots of stuff in the non-mainstream ska, punk, hardcore and psychobilly genres, as well as maybe a little hip hop (e.g. Gym Class Heroes; definitely no mainstream, "gangsta", hip-pop... stuff) and other stuff.
For music lovers I strongly recommend Last.fm/Audioscrobbler. It's a site which records all the music you listen to and a whole lot of other stuff, and is a great way to find new music. Just sign up, download the Audioscrobbler plugin (and the Last.fm radio if you want it), and you're away. Here's my user page.
With it, you can also make signatures showing recent music you've listened to, like this:
My customised one that I host, in PHP format so I can't display it here.
Hosted at denness.net, can customise, but I can't be bothered for now:

Well, lets see. I listen to everything -except county and western. Just call me one of those Emo kids because what I listen to is really determined by my current mindset and emotions.
When my last relationship ended I was all about some Maroon 5.
When I'm at the club its nothing but that Dirty South, maybe some 50 cent and some others. I can't listen to it if I'm not in club mode, though. It'll just irk me if I listen to the words. But the beats are nice. Its a shame, I used to live and breathe Rap.
I just got turned on to Industrial! The only band that comes to mind is VNV Nation. But i have a couple of Mix CDs that my friend made me.
When I'm just relaxing or meditating I may put on some Classical or The Benedictine Monks.
Some other random bands/artists that I like:
Green Day
Janet Jackson
Bone Thugs n Harmony
OutKast
System of a Down
Nine Inch Nails
Night Wish - I think thats the name.
Gorillaz
Common
Mos Def
Linkin Park
Jay Z
R. Kelly
Twib Kwali - I know I butchered this guys name
Papa Roach
Raheem Devaugh
Too many more! I think I'm going back to Yahoo to download some more stuff.

I didn't mind VNV nation when Sylphas sent me a load actually. Not my favourite, but not bad.
Right now listening to Youryuu Risui. Good stuff.

Rezzing this thread to recommend Stone Sour. They're ace! Corey and the guitarist from the Slipknot's old band I think.

I see a serious lack of Nirvana in this list...
Don't particularly like grunge, but really like Nirvana for some reason. Otherwise, mostly old rock. Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, AC/DC, pretty mainstream rock classics. As far as contemporary I like the Gorillaz, Matchbox 20, Flogging Molly, and Mindless Self Indulgence. And special note to anime/jpop rock/punk bands The Pillows and Beat Crusaders. Me Like. Beck anime OST and FLCL OST ftw.

And I only just noticed your avatar!

You know, I have pretty eclectic tastes in music. I only listen to music with intelligent lyrics or great musical composer (being a lyricist myself), which means no Simple Plan, no country and no Pop-Rap, or anything similar.
My current playlist has Dismemberment Plan, Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, Anberlin, NIN, Interpol, Soulfly, Ill Nino, Pixies, Radiohead, Blink 182 (the newer cd), Rob Zombie, Muse, Deftones and Perfect Circle.
BTW, after listening to RHCP they just induce vomit. Try something less poppy.
