What the ? You don't need Rituals or Totems to praise or appreciate a Great Spirit or something. Sure, you might not be able to Lich or Nightkiss/Crowform, but damn.. it's about the ideals and the roleplay!
It's like saying a pooka can't force someone to choke themselves in-role because it isn't a game command. roleplay it.

Personally, if you all need skills in orde to RP, then please shut up, because thats one hell of a piss pore argument. Do the skills help us to RP? Hell yes they do! But they're arent required to do good RP.
Do you get cool new skills when you join an order, that are unique to just that one? No. But are you limited in RPng out your devotion to following that god?
And yes, Estarra did say that those who choose these new choices might be a little off from te rest of the guild. But hey, maybe warriors can use their new tracking skills to star tracking down those of the opposing organization to be taken out. You all need to start thinking of things like this, and less of the, "OMG! YOU"RE RUINIGN MY RP BY SAYING THAT I HAVE MORE CHOICES IN WHAT I CAN DO!"
And as someone else pointed out...the magi guilds and serpent guilds in Achaea all had the same stuff, and yet were vastly different from eachother. Take a hint.
EDIT: I forgot to say that i fully agreed with the quote(and thus why i used it).

Read it, but I'm still wandering why the commune warriors were able to learn the skillset, when the hunters both hate the communes. What would have happened if the tigers weren't slain?
178538
Well, you weren't on the commune side of the event, but basically the druids with the hunting skill are "supposed" to guide their commune warriors on the hunting path. At least, that's the RP and it is (as always) up to players to run with it or go another direction.
(Note this infers that city warriors on the hunting path have no RP restrictions and thus should feel under no restrictions to indulge themselves in the fine arts of hunting and tracking.)

Does he have the option of choosing sanitation? I mean, if I roleplay being able to use sacraments and being able to call down Inquisition, Heretic, and Infidel on people... they're going to start frothing, eh?
It's a lot like a mage choosing Tarot, and then roleplaying that they're a dreamweaver. It doesn't really work, in my opinion at least.

Meh, like you've proven, some things do require skills to do if you're doing an in-depth roleplay (In terms of skills/technique), but in devotional matters I don't see how you're discounting an Ebonguard as a loyal follower of the Great Spirits of Glomdoring. Next thing you'll be saying is that an Ebonguard that follows Crow doesn't give a damn about Mother Night, right?
If people's roleplay is so shallow that they suddenly disregard themselves as a Paladin/Ur'guard/Serenguard/Ebonguard because they suddenly lack the appropriate abilities then they were relying too much on the system and not their innate ability to roleplay. Of course this seems to go beyond skills in Lusternia though for some people.
Ashteru2005-09-03 03:59:08
Oi, and to add something:
I love the new skill, as little as I have seen of it yet.
Now excuse me, I'll go to sleep and pray to good that I get my credits soon.
Trans ecology...

Ok, then, thanks for the excellent new skillsets. Really wish I could change just for the pets alone, but I won't for several reasons. Instead I will just be looking forward to any work that is done on two handers in the future.

I actually don't care much for Mother Night. Bad example, hm?

Question: Merian/Elfen/Faeling/Viscanti need to pick Sacraments/Necromancy/Crow/Night/Stag/Moon in order to 'advance' to their speciality race.
Will they be able to become their special race upon gaining tracking?

Athana2005-09-03 04:04:50
Good question..
Xenthos2005-09-03 04:05:24
The way the help files are written for the races, it doesn't seem so.
'Course, that may change.

Speaking of specialties...
Mugwump should get Psionics specialty. And their benefit is that their Equilibrium recovery affects channels.
Hehehe....

If this is not so, would it be out of the bounds of reasoning to request a free reincarnation? Pleeeease?

I agree. This could really cripple people of org-specific races who want to use the new skillsets...

ROFL
If you don't have Moon/Stag/Necromancy/Sacraments/etc, you cannot get the specialized race things. Rizzen went from an Elfen Lord to just an Elfen.
