So two people are voting to kill requiem dot exe (I have no reason to change this really, no more reason to suspect Revan than rde) and three people are trying to finger Revan. What does that mean? Do the latter trump the former, or do these not actually count as votes and the people have to come back later? What's the point of a FOS?
Unknown2005-09-05 02:24:26
Hmm. No one's saying anything, so it's a "whatever" vote for now. I will follow the herd (baaaaahhhh) and vote to slay Requiem.exe .
Sorry req.

I'm new at this, and have also been away the past day and a half at a friends, but It seems like the Soulless would be the first to point at others, so that would be Shiri, who is a tired person from England :-P so i forgive him this time. or Revan, which Xenthos and Narsrim seem to think did it. Then again I am loath to Lynch someone people: statistically we'll hit another Elder... but if we don't then we wait till they get us. Shorlen and BranwynSunfire and Narsrim are asking for info, knowing full well that if anyone posts that they know something it means that they have some sort of the same powers that Cwin did... and she died because of that I geuss.. So if something did have those powers out there they wouldn't be reveiling them I'm sure. Though we really do need some info, it looks like we can't wait or we'll get picked off one by one, or two by two... (depending on how/why Fain died) Is anyone as frustrated as I am?
(Edited out the part where I told Shiri he didn't bold a vote that he did infact bold... just ignore this little comment here cause it makes me look stupid )
*sigh* seriously though... Gotta do something, and Xenthos seems to know what he's doing, for now at least. I vote to Lynch Revan

Our Very First Vote Count!
requiem dot exe 3 (Revan, Shiri, Branwyn)
Revan 1 (Wesmin)
Not voting: Narsrim, Sylphas, requiem dot exe, Tsuki, Xenthos, Shorlen, Eyod
With 11 alive, it's 6 to lynch!

In decisions between the unknown and the unknown, I think I will sit upon the fence until the unknown is made known to me. Perhaps a word from Requiem or Revan in their own defence?
Shiri2005-09-05 03:30:47
The day carries on indefinitely until we lynch someone, is that right? Or does it end after a period of time and we have a clear-majority thing going on?

I think if it starts taking too long, she declares it over. However, as long as we keep discussing, that probably won't happen... only if we start getting too boring and get told to move on.
Tsuki2005-09-05 03:50:52
Ha! People editing past posts = bad. Just post again, don't confuse the issue by backtracking.
Of course, that might just be my own personal preference ...
And what, don't I count, Wesmin? Granted, pointing a Finger Of Suspicion isn't the same as jumping and voting, and I did have a reason as stated, but it could still be considered being one of "the first to point at others." I think the point of a Finger of Suspicion is to encourage discussion about the target, though, in order to get a better idea of guilt or innocence. Too bad the perceptions of those two qualities tend to alter as the game progresses.
Oi, I just realized I jumped into writing in the style I've been using the past few hours for responding to discussion board posts for a class. That said, I'll leave this post here and come back when I've shaken my brain loose from Indexing & Abstracting and can think clearly.
Edit: Oh, I will vote against someone, at some point, though... just give me time to decide who.

Right, if you get boring then I will place a deadline. It's in the rules how that'll work. If there's a lot of conversation, you may go on as long as you like.
And also: Please do not edit posts. I consider it cheating. I can't catch you at it, and I forgot to put it in the rules, but I don't like it at all.

And Requiem.
I would like the day to pass and a decision to be made, but to act without knowledge in a situation such as this will bring naught but ruin. It seems our suspicious nature has singled out two individuals, and it seems none has any knowledge of either. After seeing the wording of Revan's post, and as Requiem is not here to speak on his own behalf, I will be voting Revan unless he speaks to alleviate our concerns wrought by suspicion and tempered in fear.
Narsrim2005-09-05 05:23:22
I'm progressing to voting for Revan.
Tsuki2005-09-05 14:27:13
Voting against Revan
Unknown2005-09-05 15:27:32
That's four on Revan, three on Reqiuem. It's six to lynch.
Revan2005-09-05 16:01:49
In my defense, the reason I was so quick to vote was that it's really my first time, and I'm still getting used to how things work. However, that's not any hard evidence that I am or am not a Soulless.
It would be prudent to point out that I don't think there's any evidence anyone else could give that makes them innocent to being a Soulless as well. Those voting against me could be Soulless, I could be a Soulless, or Req could be. We're all going on guess work here with no real evidence to support our cases. I will say I'm not a Soulless, but then you will say "He's saying that to cover his own skin!" which I may be, but who knows but myself? I think a little more detective work would be nice, but seeing as that's not entirely possible right now, we're stuck with blind voting. I will say, however, that if you do decide to lynch me, you'll be down another Elder God.

Edit: Double posting... bah!
Unknown2005-09-05 16:29:16
Right now, everyone has to keep in mind it's a matter of guesswork, as so far no one's come forward saying "I scried out that X is souless/elder/whatever". Makes it hard on all of us...kinda have to random point fingers and pray. Me, I'm sticking with Requium...he's not posted *peer Req* so that makes him inactive *hum* No inactives in this game damnit!!
Unknown2005-09-05 16:33:51
As a fair reminder, you can also vote "No Lynch". Some people find it a strategic method to avoid being lynched, or to not lynch someone until they've evidence or serious reason to lynch someone.
S'your decision. 6 people needed for a definitive answer.

He said he'd be away for a day or so. Should be back by now though *peer*
Xenthos2005-09-05 17:40:15
I'm waiting a little for requieum before I proceed to the vote stage, myself.
