Encircling Eyod, looks of hate and anger upon your face, "Soulless!" one among you cries out, brandishing Her quarterstaff.

"I swear! I'm Lacostian!"

"LIAR LIAR AHAHAHAHA NOTHING MATTERS BUT THE GLOMDORING - AND MY BEAUTIFUL RA- ERR, CROW! AHAHAHA!!" One among you screeches and cackles, jerking about in a strange unearthly series of movements, like a puppet controlled by a novice marionette. Fluttering chaotically about Her is a massive black crow, about the size of a wolf - and missing one eye.

"You're not Viravain! You're a Soulless! I swear, it's Her!" Eyod again cries out, in a desperate attempt to save his skin.

"Soulless... I can smell it... You wreak of destruction and havoc.. you have no feeling of life or unlife to you.. only pure destruction.." The shadows seem to ripple about his enigmatic form. He seems kept to himself, away from the group as a whole, his partner now gone.

"I swear by it, I'm innocent! I'm innocent! You! Who are you! You must be the Soulless!" Chuckling enigmaticly, the newly accused shakes His head. Long strands of dark hair dance against His pale white skin, unblinking eyes watching patiently. A white panther is by His side, it's tail lurking near it's master's raven wings. "I believe you are wrong."

"AHAHAHAHA, KILL IT SMUSH IT SOULLESS ONE! WRETCHED FILTHY THING! AHAHAHA, OH SWEET CROW, MY BABY, MY BABY! OH CROW, NOTHING MATTERS BUT THE GLOR - ERR, GLOMDORING!! AHAHAHAHAHA!" Again the strange woman moves in her characteristic, jerky manner. The wolf-sized bird lands near Eyod, watching him closely.

"I swear! I swear! I am no such thing!" Eyod claims, his last-ditch effort. Yet they are for not.

"I slew one of you before - I lopped off Zenos' head, and sent what remained of His essence into an icey tomb in the once Crystal Sea. I shall do so again!" A tall woman surrounded by a silver glow raises Her quarterstaff, before bringing it down upon Eyod's head. With a massive shriek he jumped back, his flesh jerking and shifting.

Suddenly, he leaped from Avechna's peak, his body expanding. No longer was he simply Eyod, no - his body stretched and bulged, shifting and changing and growing. Massive and horrid, his bulk went beyond sight - and soon all of the Elder Gods knew that they faced Illith the Destroyer, as they faced a garantuan head, with jaws so massive any mortal could see them coming from great distances. His tail would reach back to the Basin itself.

Cackling madly, Viravain threw Herself forward, and Crow lept into flight. Viravain resumed Her dance, as swarms of spiders poured from Her body, running like several rivers, joining as though a delta, pooling into an ocean, and swarming towards the massive beast.

Leaping into the sky, Lisaera raised Her quarterstaff, arching it before Her, sending a shower of silver sparks downwards, eliciting a roar of agony from the horrible beast.

Raising His hand before Him, Lacostian chanted softly beneath His breath - Icelus leapt forward, tearing through the empty space unlike any mortal beast could dream, wicked claws rending flesh from the beast.

Lurking carefully in the shadows, the last of the Vernal Gods remained.

His chant finished, Lacostian twirled quickly across the ground, before drawing His hand back, then thrusting it forward - complete with a series of massive ripples of aether, tearing and rending at the Soulless.

Twirling Her staff overhead, Lisaera landed atop the beast, before driving the base of it into a soft spot in the skin. Roaring in pain, Illith twisted and shifted, screeching insanities and madness as Lisaera was thrown clear.

Acting quickly, Lacostian rent a hole in the fabric of Creation - tearing an opening near Lisaera, and catching Her in Her moment of need.

With a massive roar, as though all of Creation was shuddering, the sky burst into a myriad of colors, many incomprehensible to creations even as well-made as Elder Gods. Looming above all was Estarra the Eternal, formed of the Creator, and the Destroyer.

Reaching down, She grabbed Illith, and effortlessly lifted it. Screeching helplessly, Illith twisted around the Eternal, before both faded into the Void.

Really? Heh.
Unknown2005-09-11 06:09:22
1. Kethuru Branwyn: You are the Almighty Kethuru, the most powerful of all Soulless Gods. You don’t need the help of the other Soulless and don’t care who they are. You only care about one thing, utter domination. Because you are so powerful, you may choose to kill at night –or- you may change your visage to trick any nosy Elders who scry on you into believing in your purity. You win the game when you are the only one left alive.

Note: Will show up inconclusive on Fain’s investigations.

2. Hajamin Sylphas You are the Golden Lord, Hajamin. You’re accustomed to protecting other Elder Gods, especially since your time in the Void with Viravain. The thing is, you can only invoke this protection at night. Each night you may choose another to protect from the Soulless. You win the game when the Soulless are defeated.

Note: If Virvain’s post restriction is invoked by insanity, protecting her will fail.

3. Shikari Narsrim You are Lord Shikari, the Predator. With your incredible instincts you’re able to track one person each night and see where they go. Even though you’re a bloodthirsty predator, you do not kill, and save your knowledge to assist in finding the Soulless. You win the game when the Soulless are defeated.

4. Lisaera requiem dot exe You are Lady Lisaera, The Silver Goddess. You’re one tough Goddess and want the Soulless to be defeated as quickly as possible. You’ll even go so far as killing someone you suspect is Soulless at night to ensure the deed is done. Each night you can choose to kill someone or not. You win the game when the Soulless are defeated.

Note: If she targets Fain and he dies, her vote the next day will count as 2 votes but will not be visible until lynching. She will be warned before day that she has 2 votes.
Note: If she targets Fain and he’s been recruited into the Soulless already, she will not get the bonus vote the next day.

5. Fain Munsia You are Lord Fain, The Red Masque. You are a powerful Elder God of the First Circle, however you seek to assist the Soulless in their domination. You’re sneaky and able to manipulate others into believing in your purity and are thus immune to the scrying of nosy Elder Gods. Each night, in your quest to assist the Soulless, you may use your own scrying abilities to discover if a person is Soulless or Pure. You win the game when the Soulless have dominated.

Note: At any time the Soulless may recruit Fain into their ranks. If this is done, his soul will be consumed and he will become a Soulless, losing his scrying abilities and his protection from scrying.

Note: If Fain scries on Kethuru he will get an inconclusive result.

Note: Will show up innocent to scrying if not recruited by the Soulless.

6. Raezon Cwin You are Lord Raezon, the Forbidden. Always seeking knowledge, even of the Soulless themselves, each night you will be able to scry on a person and with your great intellect you will discover if they are Soulless or Pure. You win the game when all the Soulless are defeated.

7 Viravain Xenthos You are Lady Viravain, Mistress of Webs. Once a sweet, innocent Goddess of the 7th circle, times and events (and a certain possession by Kethuru) have changed you. The Soulless are a threat to everything, including your Glomdoring and must be stopped. Each night, you’re able to bind someone in your powerful webs, preventing them from accomplishing anything that night. You win the game when the Soulless are defeated.

Note: If she targets Shikari she will be told that the Taint is real and that Glomdoring is tainted. This causes her to go berzerk and she will be post restricted to only post in caps, deny the taint, and –must- say NOTHING MATTERS BUT GLOMDORING –or- mention her beloved crow in every post.
Note: If she roleclaims above post restriction will be invoked.
Note: If her post restriction is invoked, she will not be able to be protected by Hajamin during the night.

8. Lacostian Shorlen You are Lacostian, The Mysterial Lord. Able to look into the Akashic Records, You can see the future good or bad deeds of another. Each night you may browse the Akashic Records to discover if someone is Soulless or Pure by seeing their future deeds. Your incredible magical abilities allow you to forego looking into the Akashic Records if you wish and instead, protect someone from harm in the name of balance. However, your magic only allows you to protect someone whose deeds you’ve already seen on a previous night. You win the game when the Soulless are defeated.

Note: Can scry or protect, but not both and can only protect those he scried on a previous night.

9 Klangratch Revan You are Klangratch, the Axe of War. Once again you and Urlach(Shiri), Master of Death will fight together to defeat the Soulless. You lack the power of the Elder Gods though, and at night, the only thing you can do is discuss your battle plans for the upcoming day with Urlach. You win the game when all the Soulless are defeated.

Note: Is mason with Urlach, the other Vernal God.
Note: Secret win condition: Will win the game if both masons voted in a lynching of Great Muud.

10. Urlach Shiri You are Urlach, Master of Death. Once again you and Klangratch (Revan), the Axe of War will fight together to defeat the Soulless. You lack the power of the Elder Gods though, and at night the only thing you can do discuss your battle plans for the upcoming day with Klangratch. You win the game when all the Soulless are defeated.

Note: Is mason with Klangratch, the other Vernal God.
Note: Secret win condition: Will win the game if both masons voted in a lynching of Great Muud.

11. Illith Eyod You are Illith, the Leviathon, and like other Soulless Gods, you seek destruction and domination in the Basin of Life. Each night, you will meet with the other Soulless Gods, the Great Muud (Wesmin) and Zenos (Tsuki), and decide not only who you will slay, but which of you will complete the deed. You win when the Soulless have dominated.

Note: If scried on by Fain, will be given the choice to recruit him into the Soulless and will be informed that Fain will lose his abilities if recruited.

12. The Great Muud Wesmin You are The Great Muud, and like other Soulless Gods, you seek destruction and domination in the Basin of Life. Each night, you will meet with the other Soulless Gods, Illith, the Leviathon (Eyod) and Zenos (Tsuki), and decide not only who you will slay, but which of you will complete the deed. You win when the Soulless have dominated.

Note: If scried on by Fain, will be given the choice to recruit him into the Soulless and will be informed that Fain will lose his abilities if recruited.

13. Zenos Tsuki You are Zenos, and like other Soulless Gods, you seek destruction and domination in the Basin of Life. Each night, you will meet with the other Soulless Gods, Illith, the Leviathon (Eyod) and The Great Muud (Wesmin), and decide not only who you will slay, but which of you will complete the deed. You win when the Soulless have dominated.

Note: If scried on by Fain, will be given the choice to recruit him into the Soulless and will be informed that Fain will lose his abilities if recruited.

and I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!

beautiful death descriptions, picking a kill method was half the fun.

and Hurray to Zenji for figuring out that Bran was a SK.

oh well atleast I got touched by Estarra so nah.
Shiri2005-09-11 06:36:20
HAH! Thanks for the save Hajimon, silly Branny. tongue.gif

Some comments I'd like to make about game play. This game went well for the Elders partially because of Branwyn and Requiem's night kills. Things would've been much different if nightkills went other places. biggrin.gif

1. Generally speaking, allowing someone to roleclaim before lynching is the best way to go. It gives you more information and allows you to believe or disbelieve the claim. Had I been playing this game, anyone who placed a lynching vote on another person without allowing them to claim first would've been pegged as highly suspicious. It also adds in to some of the fun as you saw with Eyod's final proclamation that he was Lacostian.

2. Bandwagons (or sheeping) are GOOD. (Throwing votes at one person for no reason or with reason to see what they say) They get reactions and you can find out information about people. However, quick bandwagons can be a sign of something else.

3. Masons should never lynch each other if possible, especially without allowing their partner to claim. The strength of a mason group is that they're two innocents that can clear each other. Shiri ended up being okay in the end, of course, but that was mind-boggling.

4. Keeping your information to yourself isn't always the best way to go. There was several instances in this game where people did not reveal information they had or follow up on it, I'm assuming out of fear of something or another. Be more aggressive! If something doesn't make sense to you, find a way to throw it out on the table and see what happens.

5. More discussion! The days could've lasted longer with much more discussion of suspicion and fingerpointing, foses, vote changing etc. I didn't mind long days, just boring days. There's no need to rush!

6. Whoever is lurking might just be doing so for a reason. And both sides can play on that in various ways.

It was a great game and I hope everyone learned a lot about various play tactics and new roles that can be possible in these games. I have begun working on the setup of a Taint Wars themed game if anyone is interested. All new setup, all new roles (and some old), all new characters! Same rules. smile.gif

Eyod2005-09-11 06:41:38
I'll definetly give it a play, It was kind of hard with Shorlen and Shiri as mostly confirmed innocents, but oh well. We got lucky with Shiri not bothering to wait for a claim, ha!
Shiri2005-09-11 06:45:15
I wasn't confirmed actually. I got really lucky the first night, after my giant mistake everyone believed me. People should have seized on that and called bull censor.gif and pretended not to believe that I forgot the "reveal-on-death" rule but you didn't for some reason. Fortunately the bandwagon jumped onto my side, probably helped by Shorlen having scried me.

Also, Eyod, come up with a better claim next time, that was just lame. tongue.gif
Unknown2005-09-11 07:02:21
I was also impressed with how the Elders figured out Eyod was Soulless without Shorlen. Xenthos and requiem discovering each other was a golden moment.
Eyod2005-09-11 07:12:31
yeah, I suck at teh claims.
Sylphas2005-09-11 07:23:56
Xenthos and requiem were hilarious.

I was going completely at random until Shiri, then I was just going to stick with him until I believed someone else. No use flipping to someone who might be Soulless.
Shiri2005-09-11 07:40:27
Sorry Revan, now that I see you reading this. sad.gif At least we won. biggrin.gif
