How many of you were influenced by previous characters in other IRE games and who totally took a different route? In other IREs I was always an Arcanists or Sentinel or something like that so that's why I started Athana off as a Druid because I was comfortable with that role. Never ever thought I would end up in Magnagora So I was just curious as to what everyone else did
Narsrim2005-09-05 20:14:50
In Aetolia, I was a scholarly vampire type. Pure evil (or at least I tried to be) with a taste for morbid experiments... like toying with angels, sending mangled bodyparts via mail to this poor innocent luminary, etc.
On a side note, let's all thank Marcalo for RUINING my even there when he was shrubbed in Aetolia after I released his angel *pout*

Did you enjoy being a female for awhile?
Edit: I think I've taken a different route with each of my characters in Lusternia, but one is still in its first steps so who knows.
Laysus2005-09-05 20:32:52
My achaean was a shadowsnake, then I went for moondancer... so it was quite a change
Rakor2005-09-05 20:47:57
I was a snake in Achaea too, so the switch to knight was interesting. Very different. I can actually take damage now!
Unknown2005-09-05 20:49:27
I picked Tae'dae because they had the highest stats.
And Serenguard because I was an idiot.

Vix2005-09-05 20:51:15
I was a Sentinel in Achaea. Yeah, I'm not that creative. I joined the Serenguard at first because they seemed the closest, but the horrible novice bashing drove me to Moondancer.
Unknown2005-09-05 20:55:53
I was also a sentinel in achaea, and I always had a strong distate for shallamites. Interesting how I'm now playing a gungho crusading Celestine here
Shorlen2005-09-05 21:02:03
I was a Sentinel in Achaea, so I wanted something a little different here. I was going to go with a Celestine, but the Moondancers caught my eye, and I have the strong dislike for Wiccans OOC, so I thought it might be fun to try playing one in a game, to see how badly Wicca was being mocked. Then I found out just how authentic and true to history the skills and guilds were in Lusternia, the bits that were based off history that is, and how awesome everything was

Funny story, if you failed rituals back to back, you could permanently lock yourself in the opposite gender. Niuri had to fix me... I miss Niuri. She was awesome.

How so?
Lisaera2005-09-05 23:16:34
None of my previous characters have been forestals in the traditional sense. Though a couple were in the Fianna.
Lisaera was actually more inspired by other people's characters than my own.

Nayl's what I would call.... drug .
Based off of one of my RL friends who committed suicide about a year and three months ago now.
Le Sigh.

My main in Achaea was actually a Shaman... not all dark and everything like you'd imagine one to be. Just highly ritualistic, into mysticism, and worshipped Lady Selene. She was also a Xoran, which fits my rather explosive temper OOC, so it was easy sliding into that role.
I've never, ever played someone who was viewed as on the "bad" side of morality... so playing Josun, a twisted and dark individual, has been quite a change for me. Not based off of anyone besides a part of myself. A rather small part, mind you...

Some of us consider them little more than delusional little crackpots. Which they are.
*Nod*
Niara2005-09-06 00:26:24
In the other IRE games I used to play warriors or monks and wanted something different. After a disappointment with the stupid arboreals in Imperian I decided to play a forestal in Lusternia and never regretted it.
Shiri2005-09-06 01:55:27
I was previously a Druid, Dawnstrider and Arcanist.
I wanted to try out the Arcanist thing more properly though, so I made Shiri, which failed. Nejii was my skill-testing alt in Serenwilde, so I just started playing him instead, and eh.

I'd always wanted a class like the Moondancers, so I picked that. Ended up in Hartstone because I thought cudgel was neat. I actually ended up hating all my skills.
Both a rather large change from the Sentinel I had been forever and ever.

Joli2005-09-06 02:35:58
My Achaean character was a lazy bum who would rather kick back with her God than work. It was fun roleplaying her though, but I never managed to accomplish much other than being one of the main bards that performed.
Joli is kind of a serious version of my achaean character, which is funny in its own way. She'll still prod at all of the Divine when she feels like it (cept Lacostian cos he scares me) and now she doesn't have to worry about her Divine poofing on her and up my rp real good. This is the first character where I've held a position higher than Undersec. I like it a lot.

My Achaean character was an Apostate. Events led him to hate most types of dealings with daemons... think about it, an Apostate who hates dealings with daemons. Try to beat that as far as oddities go
Now, I'm playing a warrior which is quite the opposite from an Apostate, although their personalities are somewhat similar.
